From some of the other reviews, I think we were lucky! We both had steak and it was tasty and tender, cooked to our liking. But it's pretty boring only having the option of an 'Idaho' potato and coleslaw or chips and salad to accompany your steak. That definitely needs updating. And the steaks are on the pricey side. The... More

I visited the Breakfast Creek recently for lunch and ordered a Rib eye on the bone, it took over 40 minutes to cook. At that, it tasted awful and cost $48. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

We had an awesome meal in the restaurant The service was great and even though it seemed busy we did not wait too long for or meals or drinks.

The location is good, near the junction of a crrek and the Brisbane river and not too far out of the city and the hotel building is historic by Brisbane standards. The venue is let down by the staff however - the television was turned up way too loud stopping conversation and early in the evening the venue was playing... More

Had a decent steak there. Not a particularly fancy venue but it does have a certain charm. Friendly service, 'beer on the wood' and an impressive rum bar.

Went there a month ago, ordered a medium rare eye fillet, waited forever and it turned up well done with the same coleslaw and Idaho potato they have been dishing up for 50 years. So many pubs with great steaks in Brissie,e.g. Regatta,Norman,Story Bridge but this in NOT one of them. Life sentence.

Went for a Sunday lunch. Unfortunately the wind was blowing, the pub was full and we could not find shelter. The meals were okay, The steaks are over priced but well cooked. The best value meals are the pies which contain plenty of chunky pieces and are sizable.

Smoke nazi's made me move my foot 3cms to be inside a yellow line in an area outside only occupied by other smokers. I no longer smoke but will never return to this terrible hotel! Food is average and beer prices are ridiculous, there are more security staff than patrons. Get me out of this bogan bar....

I have been going to the Breakfast Creek Hotel for over thirty years. It had the best steaks then and it still delivers the best now. Go for the rib fillet and chili sauce every time. You wont regret it. Wash it down with a beer straight from the wooden keg. The best
