A good resturant in the suburbs

The food is always first class. Of a french style with an Australian twist. Service is always good and they will allow you to bring you own wines which they carefully serve during the week. A quality and consistent restaurant.

Had been wanting to come for years and finally an opportunity presented itself when my partners brother came to town for his birthday. We booked with ease over the phone that day, and we arrived that evening I was in awe of the beautiful decor. The menu was drool worthy and the onsite sommelier a welcome touch who expertly matched... More

Food was great and service was too. Waiter Michael was very nice and friendly. Have been before and had good experience every time. Will be back.

Service is impeccable, friendly and professional. Food good; value on kids meals is outstanding - will come back just for that.

Ate here on a Thursday night, we didn't have a reservation and our reception was not really welcoming but once we were seated the service was outstanding. We had pan seared duck breast on a parsnip pure and braised belly of pork in an apple soup (sounds odd but absolutely delicious). Unfortunately the souffle of the night is no longer... More

We were introduced to this French bistro by a friend in the industry whose office was located a short walking distance to Baguette. Ever since, we try to dine even if it's a cab ride from the city. We were a big group this time and we enjoyed our meals immensely. Service was excellent with the wine flowing amply enough.... More

My guest in the early stages of his career, upon my arrival exclaimed, "wow I had no idea this was here." Probably the first decent French restaurant we had in Brisbane I told him (not counting the former North Quay sited Scaramouche), and still a serious offering for the modern French bistro style. Bouillabaisse with its combination of fresh seafood... More

Arrived on Monday night from interstate with an overseas visitor around 8:15 hungry after a long day. A number of people were paying their bill as we walked in and there were a few patrons still seated. We asked if we could get a table but were told that as we didn't have a reservation, the cook wanted to go... More

My husband and I had dinner here in March 2015. Decor very pleasant , we were seated immediately by the smiling and welcoming maitre d. Great range of foods on the menu and the wine list was also excellent. Restaurant also allows BYO and we brought our own bottle of Moët. Food was excellent and courses were well timed. My... More

Last night my partner and I went to put second degustation dinner at Baguette Bistrot and Bar. This one featured duck in all 6 courses. Outstanding dish was was the sautéed scallops with duck foie gras croquette. The flavours and textures were just right and we were left wishing for more of this dish. However the next 4 courses were... More
