A good resturant in the suburbs

The food is always first class. Of a french style with an Australian twist. Service is always good and they will allow you to bring you own wines which they carefully serve during the week. A quality and consistent restaurant.

I went looking forward to a lovely french feast for my 55th birthday but received horrible cold food, small servings and a huge bill. The snails ( from a can) first came out cold then returned hot tasteless and rubbery and one of the six shells was empty. The squid first came out cold the returned oversalted, almost inedible. The... More

I must preface what I write by saying I had not been to Baguettes for quite a number of years. I am the first to admit I was expecting a wonderful evening. Once an icon of Brisbane fine dining, Baguettes is but a shadow of its former self! First impressions are always paramount and mine was not a good one.... More

Last night we took a customer, they had the fish and enjoyed it immensely but I had the duck. The worst duck I have ever had, it was like leather, could hardly cut through, no crispy skin, left most of the meal. I would have normally sent it back but it was the first time we have entertained this customer... More

Our group of eight ladies decided to try out the "Ladies Lunch Special" at Baguette. I usually have reservations about 'set' lunches but I was more than happy with this one. It was excellent. The price is $39.95 and includes a glass of champagne on arrival at the bar, then a choice of 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 desserts.... More

The last time I visited Baguette, not only did I have a wine list full of distinction and the services of sommelier, Scott, but there was food to match it. Sadly on this occasion the wine list had been destroyed. (Decimated - reduced by one tenth - is inadequate!) There were barely a dozen wines on the list and most... More

Had been wanting to come for years and finally an opportunity presented itself when my partners brother came to town for his birthday. We booked with ease over the phone that day, and we arrived that evening I was in awe of the beautiful decor. The menu was drool worthy and the onsite sommelier a welcome touch who expertly matched... More

Food was great and service was too. Waiter Michael was very nice and friendly. Have been before and had good experience every time. Will be back.

Service is impeccable, friendly and professional. Food good; value on kids meals is outstanding - will come back just for that.

Ate here on a Thursday night, we didn't have a reservation and our reception was not really welcoming but once we were seated the service was outstanding. We had pan seared duck breast on a parsnip pure and braised belly of pork in an apple soup (sounds odd but absolutely delicious). Unfortunately the souffle of the night is no longer... More
