Previously known as Brents restaurant. We Visited on Saturday for a lunch - "beer and food journey". The restaurant has recently been given a revamp throughout and has a new menu as well. As usual the food was amazing and service was impeccable. The chef Brent Farrell is not only a great chef he is a people person who loves... More

Unfortunately the most impressive thing about brents is the profit margins they must make per customer. The food was nice, I had expected a little more though given the price. I feel if you are going to charge more than $40 for a main it should taste special, like something you couldnt make at home. The portions are also miniscule,... More

What a terrible place to eat! Wanted to get up and leave before we put any food in our mouths. The noise!!! my husband and I went out for a nice meal and chat as he had been away for a few days. I had to yell to be heard and then just gave up. The acoustics are terrible. Not... More

We went to Brents on Friday Night and being two chefs, we know that its a full on night and can harbour mistakes and longer wait times, none of this happened at Brents. I had been there before with my sister and we ordered the Gourmand menu and loved it. This time my boyfriend and I ordered the romantic package... More

My husband and I visited Brents last night for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The meals are complex and beautiful tasting. The wait staff were professional and informative on the details of each dish. Their drinks selection is comprehensive and my husband discovered a new favourite apple cider called Hillbilly. The decor is simple but elegant and has a very... More

Beautifully presented. Fine quality. Indulgent degustation menu. The play of flavours was interesting but unfamiliar to my palate. Went on a week night. Ambient atmosphere, a bit too dark though we were near the windows. Liked the touch of mystery with the final locked chest of desserts! Appreciated the detailed touch. Overall a lovely experience

I've been several times for work functions and the function food is very good. This time with friends for a night out. The decor is plain but very clean and tidy with reasonable space between tables. The service is first class. The quality of the food is exceptional BUT the meals are very small. Even with sides plus 3 courses... More

My wife and I attended a wedding reception at Brent's and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The format was a standing degustation of 8 courses. Couldn't believe the quality of the meals given the numbers being catered. The pork belly and duck confit particularly stood out. We'll be making a trip to Brent's when we're next in Brisbane.

After many years of exceptional meals (and corresponding reviews) I just had my first bad experience at Brents. Entree was pork terrine that tasted rather like tinned corned beef, the main course was a very, very tough chunk of beef that had been cooked unevenly and largely stayed on the plate, accompanied by a teaspoon of coleslaw. The dessert was... More

The food was exquisite! A great meal to enjoy for my husband's birthday dinner. The mushroom cappuccino was his highlight of the night and my deconstructed Banoffee pie was the highlight for me. All meals look spectacular on the plate and the taste equally as amazing. Unfortunately the atmosphere is a little dull but the first class service makes up... More
