Here it is! Great food, excellent beverages, and good service all in one place. Ok, it's not cheap, but it is in James Street where the well heeled locals frequent. It's worth it for something special.

At 10.20 pm we were able to have some shared plates. Staff were very helpful and calamari was excellent. Visited many times in the past but still good for better than casual food.

After walking out of the Gordita, as they have no concept of service, it is nice to see the Cru bar maintains its consistent high level of personal service each and every time we visit ( ~ each month).. We shared had the oysters and the prawn pasta, the prawns were fresh and a good size, the pasta was perfect..... More

Popped in for a quick drink before a show nearby. We had beers and champagne. We found the flute and even the beer glasses a tad smaller than average. Lovely little place though, loved the couches, cushions and curtains etc. Would have liked Moet by the glass but was bottle only. Found the sav blancs limited.

Located on James St with seats overlooking the streets. Very modern, light and airy. Excellent wine list and service. A great place for a quiet drink or meet up with friends.

This was an ideal location for a pre wedding girls lunch. Large share plate menu with a lot of great options. I chose the Calamari with a Rocket, Pear, parmesan, walnut salad with raspberry dressing, lovely, washed down with a very good glass of Little Angel Sav Blanc. Serves were guite large and more than enough for lunch. Service was... More

Had a business dinner here. Seemed really good when we walked on. The range of main courses wasn't huge, but the fish was cooked perfectly, kindler potatoes again very good. I'm tired of rocket, but perhaps that's just me. Wine list excellent. What the service was u bad it just wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the... More

I really love this venue. James Street is a great place to be in Brisbane and I think this is one of the best venues on the strip. Last went here for Brunch on Saturday and the place was very busy. The service team managed to give us a reserved table by the window as the next reservation was not... More

Amazing atmosphere, efficient service & great food. Small menu which is great. Every dish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Ordered 3 share plates to start with, ended up ordering an extra (4 in total) to share between 2 people. The wine list was extravagant and extensive. Will defiantly return to explore this list some more. The kitchen also... More

We went to the Cru Bar for lunch last week after a gap of a couple of years. We weren't disappointed. The share plates are so good. We recommend the spring rolls & they were the best chips I've ever had. The cocktails were great too.
