I really love this venue. James Street is a great place to be in Brisbane and I think this is one of the best venues on the strip. Last went here for Brunch on Saturday and the place was very busy. The service team managed to give us a reserved table by the window as the next reservation was not... More

Amazing atmosphere, efficient service & great food. Small menu which is great. Every dish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Ordered 3 share plates to start with, ended up ordering an extra (4 in total) to share between 2 people. The wine list was extravagant and extensive. Will defiantly return to explore this list some more. The kitchen also... More

We went to the Cru Bar for lunch last week after a gap of a couple of years. We weren't disappointed. The share plates are so good. We recommend the spring rolls & they were the best chips I've ever had. The cocktails were great too.

I've heard nothing but good things from most of my friends so it was about time I decided to come have a drink and eat here. My friend and I decided to get three share plates instead of mains, thinking we could try more of the fantastic food we had heard so much about. The pork belly with red cabbage... More

Love my wines and this place delivers extensive range but priced to match. Extensive beverages across the board as well. Always interesting meals on offer and different seating areas to enjoy a good conversation or just people watch.

We seem to very often end up at Cru Bar for lunch and it always extremely good, consistent no matter what the day or weather. Must be otherwise we would not return. The price is reasonable, the food is excellent and the service superb. Robert (Bob) the waiter is one of the best and there is a large selection of... More

Brilliant share plates and good wine and beer list. Always attentive service. Location is brilliant in funky James St precinct.

A common theme is bad service. We coped the same. My wife could get a drink at the bar a lot quicker that I could. Yet I'm the one with the money!!!! No tips pal!! The AC in this place is hot, then cold. definitely to be avoided in winter.

Cru Bar and Cellar is one of my favourites in Brisbane. Their selection of beverages is one of the best around, from a single glass or bottle and they have a really great range of tasting plates or mains to match. Even though it is winter I was able to comfortably sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine, great... More

My daughter made an appointment to book a function and took a bus across town to do so. When she turned up for the prearrange meeting, she was informed that Robbie the functions manager was too busy to see her! This is appalling and they just lost a function. I am disgusted and would not recommend anyone consider this place... More
