I just love going to Montrachet, you always know you will have amazing food, experience expert service and enjoy the best wines. It is expensive but it's worth it. You definitely get what you pay for and I will keep coming back...but sadly never on a Friday or Saturday night when of course they are closed.

This is without doubt my favourite restaurant in Brisbane. Thierry Galichet's attention to detail is faultless, from the wine that he imports himself, to the staff he employs, to the food on his menu, even to the magnificent coffee! The degustation menu is sublime, and will give you a wonderful tasting of some of the highlights of the menu. My... More

When visiting Brissie from Sydney I read the Courier Mails list of Brisbanes 10 top restaurants - Montrachet sounded lovely. I called to book and was a little sad to find they only had two seats at the bar. The person who took the booking assured me it would be good. He lied!!! It was unbelievably fantastic. I have been... Truly authentic French restaurant. They focus on quality and are only open Monday-Thursday. Service is ALWAYS impeccable and food is simple and delicious. The chef and owner is lovely and friendly, usually coming out in the middle of service to say hi to the customers. Beautiful place to go for lunch or dinner. In the few years since I've discovered... The advantage of lunching rather than dining at Montrachet is there is only one sitting, so you can relax over a long and enjoyable lunch. The food and wine are excellent, the wine (imported from France by the owner) is exceptional value. The refreshing aspect to Montrachet are the staff; they are permanent, not casual, and they know their food... More

Have been here quite a few times. Never had a bad course never mind a bad meal. Service is always fantastic and it would appear the staff stay forever as well. Book in advance and its closed on weekends. My favourite Brisbane Restaurant and I eat out a lot through work. Couldn't fault it.

We had the 5 course degustation dinner and we're not disappointed. Waiter was very attentive and knew his stuff about french cuisine and wine (which was also wonderful). A little pricey but well worth it if you're looking to splurge for a special occasion and enjoy a real fine dining experience. Would recommend.

We have visited this restaurant a number of times over the past few years. It is an excellent French restaurant. This time I had the fish dish which at the time, was coral trout. absolutely superb. Great presentation and full of flavour. Usually We do not have a starter so to nibble while we have a cocktail we go for... More

Best food outside of Paris. Nothing else matters really...service and atmosphere can be fabulous but it's all for nothing if the food is ordinary.
