Brisbane's West End favourite

Three Monkeys is the place to go before or after a show. We eat here on an almost weekly basis - usually light meals, sometimes just cake and chai if it's late. Food is consistently good. The atmosphere is why we go here, we love the dark, hidden away nooks. It feels great. It is popular, very... read more

In westend this funky little cafe is very deceiving. It looks like a pokey cafe until you go inside and out to the back. With an indoor and out door eating area out the back, it provides a mix of food and yummy cakes at a good prices. Open until late it's a good stop in if your on your... More

I must confess to having trouble finding The Three Monkeys in West End, but once I did, I was delighted. At first you enter a tiny area where cakes are displayed and orders taken. I was initially worried, after reading reviews, that there wouldn't be much in the way of actual meals--that there were mostly cakes. I mean, everyone mentions... More

This is a little coffee and tea house in the middle of West End. This is only a few min. to the centre of the city. This coffee shop is a surprise as it looks small from the front but opens up to lots of little nocks and crannies within a small garden area. The coffee is good and the... More

Love the edgy deco inside. Plenty of seating area. It's kinda rainforest environment inside. Yummy cakes and great coffees. Can't complain more. Good spot for chilling out and catching up with friends over coffee.

The apple pie was very tasty and I really liked that there were gluten and dairy free choices for my friend. Service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable. The big surprise was just how big this place is. I was amazed at how far back it went and the garden area is lovely. Decorated in an ethnic vibe... More

Used to come here regularly many years ago when I lived nearby, now on northside dont get there much but well worth the visit, good prices, generous portions of cake and delicious. Great atmopshere, it can get busy though we were there Sunday afternoon around 3.30. A nice old favourite that I can rely on.

We just finished the Mount Coo-Tha hike and we're looking for a coffee place where we could be comfortable, relax, catch up on emails before our afternoon flight and found the Three Monkeys Coffee and Tea house. It may seem a bit far away from the Coo-Tha lookout but it well worth the detour. Calm music, green surroundings, comfortable seating... More

An interesting place for either coffee and nibblies or a meal. The food isn't the main drawcard, it's the atmosphere of the place. There are chess boards and other games there to play, magazines -it's as though you dropped by a friend's place to chat. Indoor and outdoor, cosy and quirky. A bit bohemian.

The secluded tables enables you to talk with friends and enjoy the atmosphere of this perfect Coffee Café. Food lovely and menu very varied. Definitely worth a visit or two...three...four...
