For years I have been saying I would love to go to this restaurant, and tonight we did and it was the biggest disappointment I have had in many years. The ambiance was beautiful the waitress was very inexperienced and did not have a clue, later on I asked if it was her first night and was informed yes. She... More

Dinner last week with another couple. Service very good, we took our own wines ($15 per bottle corkage, but still good value if you have good wines at home). We all had coq au vin, which, while excellent, was not the traditional dish, missing the thick wine sauce and onions. Pricing OK, but I still have a whinge about $10... More

Had lunch here. 2 courses for $45. It is a small restaurant but does not feel as cosy as it could. Being right on a main road, I thought it would be noisier but we hardly noticed the traffic at all. The waiter was quite slow, yet friendly enough. The food though, was excellent. Go for the food.

This was the first time my husband and I had visited Two Small Rooms and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely lunch from the set lunch menu and the food was wonderful. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and treated us very well. Our bread entree with the truffle butter was warm and fresh. My husband had... More

We are lucky to have restaurants of this quality so close to the city centre and with adjacent street parking. We went as a party of four and therefore had 4 choices from the mains and 3 deserts and all were well, cooked presented and enjoyed. The restaurant charges $15 per bottle BYO which means that you have control of... More

Ordinary service....Eg a glass of sparkling wine ordered as an aperitif Arrived half way through the main meal despite an earlier reminder. Corkage of $15 per bottle, but apart from opening it, the waiters never touched it. Water had to be requested. Ordinary food.....Eg duck was tiny and extremely tough. At least it was consistent, as this description applied to... More

We were sad when Two Small Rooms closed down and very happy when it re-opened. We have been a few times since they reopened and have been very happy with the food, service and ambience. There is a focus on quality ingredients and the new proprietors are definitely passionate and knowledgeable about the food. They also were kind enough to... More

Visited this restaurant on the advice of friends, however it had been many months since they had visited. The menu looked really lovely and James explained how special the food was. The portions were all very small including sides. I hate the sound of cutlery on pottery plates and even more purple ones.

I first dined at 2 Small Rooms in 1980, it may of been under a different name, I dont recall. However its been a consistent high performer of quality food in the inner Western region of Brisbane for so many years. On Saturday night we were joined by 5 friends and felt at home as soon as we walked into... More
