The food we had was more expensive than necessary, though it was truly tasty and very well prepared and presented. It would have been worth the cost if the atmosphere had been just as nice. We had quite a bit of trouble however with staff attitude. We were at the table with a recovering alcoholic, and when We said no... More

I wanted some authentic bush fare and stumbled on this fantastic little restaurant. I chose the "discovery" menu with wine pairings. Started with a nice amuse bouche of barramundi. The appetizer/sampler was a real treat: emu, marinated croc, and two preparations of kangaroo, along with four different types of desert berries including Lilly Pilly (riberry) glaceed, quandong (looked like a... Went here mid-week for a late dinner and although it was later it was surprisingly slow & quiet, which was nice. We dined on a covered, outdoor patio. The dessert looked heavenly but we passed. There wasn't anything on the menu that really jumped out at me EXCEPT for the "bush tucker". It's more of an appetizer but there were... More

Excellent options from their Brunch menu- we had the Kangaroo steak sandwich and the Spiced emu burger. Both served with delicious rosemary salted kipfler potatoes. Very nice flavours! The highlight of the meal was the dessert of a deconstructed finger lime tart, very delicate and not overly sweet- highly recommend.

Tukka is the finest in fine dining, with a menu that is unique and delicious and service to rival any we have experienced. From the menu containing emu, crocodile and kangaroo as well as perfectly cooked salmon, it was difficult to choose. We finally chose a tasting platter of bush foods with llillypilly and many other beautiful berries and fruits... More

Your charming American maitre de is very persuasive if one is shy about eating kangaroo, emu and crocodile. It is quite a unique eating experience with some very interesting tasty treats. I would certainly recommend taking overseas visitors for the Australiana experience. Some Australian background music would have enhanced the meal rather than the thumping cacophony of a nearby club.... More

Absolute delight tasting so many Aussi bush berries and meats . This meal continued to surprise and titivate the palate. Service was unobtrusive and excellent. Great wine list and staff. I absolutely recommend a visit full marks to them

We dined here today (Sunday June 15th) for lunch having bought the voucher. It was great value and we really enjoyed the meal. Having tasted some of the different "Australian" dishes of Emu, Croc, Roo and Camel when travelling in NT, we were keen to see what Brissie had to offer. This is a nice little restaurant tucked into the... More

We dined with my honeymooning cousins visiting from Italy and keen to "eat Australia". With a number of exotic dishes on offer we opted for 7 courses degustation which included sampling everything. We tried emu, kangaroo, crocodile and rabbit. Sauces and salads included ingredients like wattleseed, rosella and other locally sourced delicacies No possum that night / fine by me-... More
