Upmarket, tasty & reliable

A great restaurant for tourists (or your travelling friends) to experience native Australian ingredients cooked in a modern style. Delicious and great friendly service! A little pricey, but worth it for the interesting menu and rare ingredients. Portion sizes are smaller (perfect for me!) so if... read more

A great restaurant for tourists (or your travelling friends) to experience native Australian ingredients cooked in a modern style. Delicious and great friendly service! A little pricey, but worth it for the interesting menu and rare ingredients. Portion sizes are smaller (perfect for me!) so if you're after a big Aussie steak, try The Norman Hotel down the road.

I wanted to taste real Australian food: Kangaroo, possum, crocodile, emu, camel, etc. I really had a nice experience at Tukka. Very high profile dishes. Great place to taste if you are not familiar with exotic food. It is in the heart of west end, so its a great location for having some drinks afterwards. It is not cheap though... More

I was interested in checking this restaurant out for a while after having it recommend to me. I was sent a birthday deal and ventured over with my partner and some friends. Needless to say we were all pretty let down. The waitress was incredibly rude to me the entire time. When she would appear at the table to take... More

We try to go to Tukka each time we go to Brisbane. It is good every time. They serve Australian native foods. We had the bush food platter which we enjoyed. It was a shame that they did not have bunya nuts in stock. We had the kangaroo and the emu for mains. Both were well cooked, i.e. not well... More

The Australian native cuisine is always a delight and changes with the seasons... so there is always something new to discover. Service is excellent, as well as the unique food combinations. Definitely need to book.

My husband and I had a delightful experience here on our Wedding Anniversary so only too happy to take our UK visitor there . Unfortunately the guy in charge was on his own his offsider had been admitted to hospital . So that's ok we can understand a delay in service and we're happy to chat . However when the... More

I took a friend to Tukka. The bush food platter was comprised of a salad I could make, bush fruits from the jar, and overcooked native meats in small servings. Follow that up with a possum and pork pie that was so dry and the meat so pulled it was like Chinese pork floss in consistency, and it was impossible... More

I visited Tukka with my fiancé and another couple on a Living Social voucher for the 5 course degustation. I've eaten crocodile and kangaroo in the past and enjoyed it then so I knew I was in for a good ride. We were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine upon arrival and then we ordered the matching wines for... More
