Great Indian restaurant in New Farm

Nice old shop front in New Farm that fills up quickly so bookings are recommended. The service was pleasent enough and the decor modern with sufficient Indian influence as you would expect. There were a couple of small tables outside but not many so most of the dining was indoors. Food was... read more

Came here with some friends and ordered a number of curries and breads. The naan was very good, but for the most part the curries were ok, but nothing exciting. Stuff were friendly and prices were reasonable. Best dish was the dal.

Just dined at the Taj Mahal. The pappadums were crisp tasty and not oily, served with mint yoghurt, a nice touch. The butter chicken was perfect, the fish curry only average. The sauce was delicious but the fish overwhelmingly fishy. Best of all was the Naan bread fresh and hot from the oven. The worst thing was the air conditioning... More

This is the best quality Indian food in Brisbane bar none. Best butter chicken I have ever had and the Saag is awesome too.

This restaurant had most ratings on eatnow.com and decided to order dinner. The chicken tikka was a joke, probably old, left overs. The biryani was glorified tomato rice. The goan fish curry was fish chunks thrown in tomato sauce straight off can. It ruined the appetite for us and probably never again! I think it is worthwhile to see pictures... More

We visit Brisbane for 3-4 weeks every year and Taj Mahal continues to be a highlight of our trip. Consistently top quality food, extensive menu, excellent service, very reasonable prices for the quality provided, and a very nice and comfortable restaurant. The beef, chicken, prawn, and offerings is always well prepared and very tasty. Everything that we seek when selecting... More

I've never had worse Indian food in Brisbane. What a sad experience! Watery curry, no flavour, disgusting rice.

Ive eaten here many times but not in a few years now. On a flying overnight visit to Brisbane I knew where I wanted to dine. I have found that after trying many Indian food establishments in New Zealand that we do not have very flavoursum Indian food, I don't mean mild medium or hot, I mean the flavours in... More

Excellent menu with a well balanced whine list.Food was first class and only as hot as you wished. All dishes around $18. Suggest you book especially at weekends.

We had walked past this restaurant and wanted to try it as it had a sign in the window that they had hosted the Indian cricket team. We were not disappointed as the food was very good. We were able to order how hot we wanted dishes. The Saag Gost was very good and we also enjoyed the cauliflower dish.... More
