I have been here twice with friends and both times I have had a nice meal served by very kind and accommodating staff. My one criticism is that both times I have visited this restaurant I have found the food to be very bland. On my first visit I had a goat curry asking for it to be hot and... More

Came here for dinner with my partner because he's been wanting to try this place. We went there without a reservation and they were really full. However, the waitress spotted a vacant and unreserved table so we were seated right away. Menu has plenty of food choices for both meat and non-meat eaters so it's not a problem if you're... More

This cafe has genuine Tibetan food which is usually a little spicy, although you can ask for very mild, and is certainly very filling. The staff are excellent and the ambience is great. If you would like to sit on a raised platform (crossed legs or legs out straight), there is a room at the back that has tables for this.... More

This was my first visit after many years and had very good memories. The atmosphere, albeit noisy, especially when the music comes on, very nice, lay out lovely. Service quick and very friendly. Probably due to the noise, my order was wrong (I had ordered a noodle dish and got small sample dishes of dahl, curry, etc instead). The order... More

Loads of selection, meat and vego dishes, hearty sauces, good portions. Delicious. Service was good and meals timely even though we had a big group. When a friend booked here for her birthday I was expecting vegetarian, Hari Krishna, light food for no justifiable reason whatsoever. I was wrong. :)

We arrived on a busy Saturday night and somehow got a table for 3. It's a very lively loud place with lots of young groups there. The service was polite and friendly and prices reasonable. We had a prawn curry, Dahl baht, chicken entree and Himalayan bread for $72 which was enough for 3. Certainly got great atmosphere and delicious... More

Even though we are not spring chickens and the seating is mainly on benches, we enjoy going to this restaurant because of the noisy, busy, and happy atmosphere. Reservations are recommended. We love seeing lots of people enjoying their food and having a great time. The Sherpa Chicken, the Himalayan bread, and the homemade noodle dish are all excellent. Younger... More

Just been there for the second time and loved it! The food is great, especially Sherpa chicken. Service is really good and food always arrives promptly! We ate with locals who organised the booking but I understand it can get quite busy. I'll go there each time I'm in Brisbane

Love attending this restaurant with friends. The Himalayan Cafe offers two locations where people can sit; one on the front area and at the back with lower tables, rugs and deemed lights. The atmosphere is great for big gather or even during a romantic date. The selection of dishes are limited however the flavour is spot on and to die... More

Having been warned how busy (and noisy) this restaurant can become as the evening progresses we dined early.By the time we had finished the place was beginning to fill up and we had a squeeze to get out! The Himalayan bread and dipping sauce were delicious, the mixed sharing starter was acceptable if somewhat bland but there was plenty of... More
