A busy and buzzing breakfast venue. Service was a little hectic (it was very busy) but food and drinks arrived after a not unreasonable wait. Coffee was so-so and our breakfast pikelets were fine, although who thought leaving grilled banana in its skin and then hiding it under the pancakes would be a good idea!?

Beautiful main meals but lacking in other areas. Firstly, a drink was dropped by one of the waiters, resulting in broken glass and liquid all over our table. Our table was promptly cleaned and fresh cutlery set. Main meals were beautiful, we strongly recommend the duck. Dessert was only OK, nothing compared to the mains. Finally, we were about to... More

Good food and service in a semi-casual setting in the James St precinct. I had the Barramundi. Excellent.

I have been to Harvey's for breakfast many times and it is consistently good, especially at providing eggs cooked to your liking. We went for dinner last Friday night without a booking and I have to say the meals were very impressive. My lamb was perfectly cooked, so tender and delicious and so was my partner's duck - he got... Lots of people sitting here thought would be good place for breakfast on a Monday not knowing the area, definitely a business meeting place not a place to relax & enjoy if not wanting to over hear other peoples business talk...... My husband's choice was eggs with only 1 small slice of sourdough toast.... very disappointed as he has to... More

Stopped in for a coffee and brekkie. Had the wild mushrooms with grilled Haloumi. Absolutely delicious. Service was professional and attentive. Must come back for a weekend lunch or dinner!

Dropped through for breakfast on the way to a meeting and appreciated the attentive and efficient service. I was greeted and seated straight away and offered drinks, so the coffee was underway before the menu arrived. The menu was what you would expect in a good café and again service was upon us to take the order straight away. The... More

I enjoy a regular Sunday lunch at Harvey's and always order the quail. The chef manages to find a new and interesting combination with the quail. Always simple but very tasty and beautifully presented.
