Cha Cha Char Wine Bar & Grill is a stylish, contemporary restaurant specialising in high quality, cooked-to-perfection steaks. On our menu you'll find plenty of information - the breed, paddock address, age (12 months to 30 months and older), size (200g to 600g), accompaniments and diet (grass fed/grain fed) as well as snapshots of rare, medium rare, medium and well done steaks to help diners with their preferences. It's harder than you think to get a great steak onto a plate - there are so many variables. Restaurateur John Kilroy is a nationally recognised beef judge and is constantly showcasing products to the hospitality industry where discussions range from the breed of cattle, feed type and age of the carcass. His wide recognition throughout the beef industry means that we receive first class products on a consistent basis, year round. John sources the beef direct from producers and suppliers and ages it for five weeks, giving diners a chance to taste different breeds, brands and regions. That's why it's Brisbane's signature steak restaurant!

Excellent Food

Restaurant is located at the Eagle St Pier Brisbane and I have been here on multiple occassions. The food remains great, the wine/beer are very good, but above all the continuing personalised customer service is superb. The choice of food options is good and the quality of the food is excellent.

Had dinner here last weekend. We got the salt and pepper squid and the Kilpatrick oysters to start. Both were really good! Then we got steaks for mains. Flavours were really nice on everyone's plates but my steak was overdone. When paying $60 for a steak I'd have expected it to be cooked correctly. Same goes for one of the... More

Have always loved this place but this time steaks were a little dry from what they should be. Shame as brought local customers along. Worth another go as always great service and a great location. Oyster shots were good as always.

Arriving in Brisbane late this was the only restaurant prepared to offer us a meal, and whilst I was prepared to give our standard opening line of... we're happy even with sides... I wasn't given a chance as we were shown directly to a table. Outstanding service... if a customer comes to the door, they evidently want to partake of... More

Disaster -- one of the worst evenings in Brisbane, Cha Cha Cha allowed a group of 30 to 40 people into the main dinning room when there was a very satisfactory separate room that could have been used. The shouting and general noise was so load that one could not hear either the waiters or our guest across the table.... More

The food is good, but I would say there are better steaks in Brisbane. For mine Fiascos is the best I've had in Bris. Service at Cha Cha Char is good and was very busy which is a good sign.

I think that If you are not a meat lover, better to avoid it. I don't eat meat and I asked for chicken and it was just ok... nothing extraordinary, except the price. Service was good.

Have to say that this is one of the best steaks I've ever had (I had an eye fillet), but the slow service lets the place down a little. The high prices are potentially worth paying, but this and the service drag it down from being a 5 star rating.

We had read the review of "best steak Place" the owner has been a judge of beef...thought this would be a great credential how wrong. The service by Tyler was fantastic. Engaging and concerned. But the actual product I.é the steak was tough and dry. The red wine jus...not sure it had seen much red wine. The wine list was... More

I have avoided this restaurant for several years as they had lost their edge. This visit however was a pleasant surprise, food service was prompt and accurate. The wine list has improved by a big margin and there was some museum wines that were fairly priced, for our first wine we choose a bottle of Chateau Palmer 1985 which was... More
