6 of us who had all been to Turkey had a Saturday night get-together here on last day of November. It was very busy and noisy...we also had difficulty hearing each other as people already celebrating Christmas parties..some were over the top! But food and service was great for a full restaurant. We gave up about dessert and asked if... More

Had a great dinner here with close friends but just a bit too noisy and seats a bit close for my liking. Couldn't hear each other without shouting and kids (5, 9, 11) were quite overwhelmed by the drunk, staggering people near our table at 7:30 on a Friday night! Great to sit by the open door where at least... More

I think we first came here at least 6+ years ago and had a great meal and night out. It's fantastic to be back yet again for another great meal; how many restaurants can keep up their standards over a long period of time? Add in free parking, BYO and you can see why this is pulling people away from... More

We went as a group of 9 for the Tuesday night banquet, which is $30 a head. In theory it sounds good, but I thought I would have received more food for $30. Entree was basic dips and bread. Mains was a selection of 3 or 4 dishes, but they were normal size mains to share between 9 people. You... More

Went out for dinner with friends on a friday night and the place was packed. We shared an Ottoman starter and a mixed platter for a main and got to try a little of everything. The food was fantastic and the serves are fairly generous. The desserts of the day (choc caramel tart & choc coconut tart) were awesome and... More

Dining at this restaurant is definitely something to get excited about. The food is marvelous! Would recommend ordering a mixed platter (one of their Mezes) for the entree if you have never dined hear before or do not often have Turkish food. Make sure to save room for dessert (their sticky date and macadamia nut pudding with butterscotch source is... More

For anyone who has been to Turkey or eaten real Turkish food, Caravanserai serves up (pricey) disappointment. The "pide" was not a freshly baked item as you might expect but simply grocery store standard Turkish bread slathered in sauce and passed up as pide. Dips were flat and lackluster. Meat were nicely seasoned and cooked, the only decent part of... More

In truth this is probably a 3.5 rating. Located a short taxi trip from Brisbane CBD in West End (about a $15 fare). The dishes varied in quality - the prawns, lamb ribs and salmon were the pick, the others (pastry puffs, haloumi, meatballs, skewers, dips) were reliable and nice but not particularly memorable. Service was friendly and attentive. The... More

Our daughter took us out here for dinner last night, for the famous Tuesday Banquet Special - $33 a head plus $3 per person corkage. Wow! How simple not to have to order, just to have the staff bring out beautiful plates of exquisitely flavoured food. The restaurant was packed - inside and out - with groups taking advantage of... Have just read Cathy P's review. We were there the same night and were very disappointed. We had to ask for our mains and were told "not long." 15 minutes later they arrived. We were there for 90 minutes having had only an entree and a main. Didn't have time to wait for coffee or even the bill. (we actually... More
