Booked this place for a work dinner with 5 other colleagues from Sydney and Melbourne on a Thursday night. The atmosphere on walking in was very relaxed and we immediately felt at home in this great little bistro. Loved the bar that we all sat around. The menu had some really interesting combinations and really showed that this place is... More

Small venue, mainly bar seating, but terrific atmosphere. Arrived before my friend, and the Manager couldn't have been more friendly or attentive. When I couldn't decide on a wine, he provided tastes until I found one I liked. When we ordered, my friend had the duck and said it was amazing. I ordered two entrees, and they timed the arrival... A wonderful small restaurant in Brisbane, not cheap, but not expensive either. Great food, and cool ambience for a night out. Had the partridge and was blown away by flavour and the textures. Definitely going back.

First time back in about 8 years and while under new ownership (for about 18 months) it still has a great ambience and attentive relaxed service. This venue has approx. 16 seats up at the bar and a small table for 4 at the front so it is as intimate as you'll get - at least in Brisbane. Practically touching... More

First time at this little bistro, very cosy and intimate which would not appeal to some. To be honest this does not usually appeal to me either, but it worked well here and the food and wine list made it worthwhile. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food sensational. Will be back

Relaxed and cosy little place with seating at the bar and pretty diverse wine list. The Magnum Monday was a nice way to have a set menu and try a different drop. Friendly staff willing to help and the fare was good quality.

if only there were more places like this in melbourne! staff are knowledgeable, professional and fun. food is just worth the wait, and worth the price - whatever it may be. I dare you to tell them you are hungry and let them look after the evening for you. sitting at the bar for dinner might not be everyones idea... More

I can't comment on meals over the weekend, however Monday night at Anise (Magnum Monday) has become a favourite of mine in Brisbane. Four courses sets you back $45 under a set menu. I have been twice now and on both occassions the food, wine and service were great.

True this place use to be fantastic before it was sold and I was looking forward to testing out the new owners but they were running 45 mins late on our 8 pm booking (that was booked over 2 months in advance). We had to go elsewhere. They had said they'd grab us from the bar next door in 15... More

Excellent personal service in a small bar type eating place - we had the only table at the window. All other seating is at the bar. (I would not like to have to eat at the bar.) Wine choices were talked through with server. The starters were good, the mains were excellent as were the desserts. A great evening out... More
