Excellent Malaya Food

Had dinner on a Friday night, The entree of beef satay were just like you get in Kuala Lumpur. Main course was Nasi Lemak, again just like a traditional Malay meal. Wish I could have gone back to try more of the menu.

Lunched at Ipoh Laksa in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane on 18th May 2015. The restaurant seemed to have shrunk in size since we last visited it several years ago. The furniture and decor seemed somewhat Spartan. The car park was chock-a-block but the restaurant seemed devoid of patrons that noontime. We parked on the roadside some distance away. The service was... More

Ipoh Laksa began life as the popular Singapore Lah in Brisbane's Chinatown that was open mainly during the weekday lunch hours serving a lot of takeaway to the office workers in Fortitude Valley. Leasing changes to the building it was in meant the owners, Ricky and Juliet Chow, had to move to new premises. As far as sourcing authentic ingredients... More

Location of the restaurant was easy to find as it was along a major road, Main St. Parking was ample around the area, with off-street parking available on the street beside the restaurant. We ordered an entree - samosa and a couple of main meals. It appeared the samosa were home-made and tasty, with sheet filo. It would have been... More

Ipoh Laksa is one of our favourite places to visit for the beautiful food and the great location - a perfect place to have lunch before an afternoon show at QPAC.. it can get very busy on Fri & Sat evenings, we avoid going then as we prefer a quieter atmosphere and parking can be hard.. any other evenings are... Great curry laksa and ho mee. Service is fast and friendly. Ample car parking at rear. Open linch and dinner 7 days a week. Located mid way between CBD and Wooloongabba - look for the KFC and it is next door.

Great entrees to start a lovely meal. Samosa springrolls and chicken satay sticks were all good. Roast pork laksa was very nice. Fast friendly service. Would eat here again.

Visited Ipoh Laksa for Mothers Day Dinner with family and friends. The service was really good and friendly, and the food was so tasty, fresh and filling! Pretty cheap pricing too! Will definately be returning to this little gem :) !

Tried this out, as we are always on the look out for SE Asian food. My rendang was pretty good. The laksa was disappointing. Our companions were Malaysian, and they did not have a good thing to say about the laksa.
