Simple, but very good quality food.

We had dinner in this restaurant during our business trip. Simple, but very tasty food. Nice old building and friendly service. We had haloumi kebabs for entree and ribs with wages for main and cold beer. Great dishes. Price is also attractive.

I booked our Christmas family meal at the Crosstown Eating House, for 15th December. Dimmi provided a booking confirmation. Imagine our surprise, therefore, on arriving at the appointed time to find the restaurant shut and in darkness. It was quite obvious that Dimmi had not confirmed the booking with the restaurant, as had they done so, they would have known... More

We had a group dinner with colleagues & clients. It was a laid back, casual atmosphere and we were able to chat, drink and eat comfortably. The lamb was delicious (photo attached) as was the steak, calamari & gnocchi. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly considering we had only booked the group reservation that same day. Recommended.

The cross town folks hosted our reception in their uptown room. Service was excellent, generous and really friendly. They were really accommodating and allowed us to dress up the space a lot. Food was great and even catered well to some of the more problematic diets in our group. Highly recommended.

Cool eatery with a sassy attitude. Don't go looking for classy, you will find relaxed fun with good food and simply enjoy.

I love the atmosphere here, the decor is an eclectic mix of op-shop paintings, memorabilia and industrial lighting. We go quite often and the menu changes seasonally but what I love about it is you can make a great main for 2 by selecting several appetizers to share if you want a little taste of everything or you can do... A friend and I went here for dinner a few nights away and I thought the whole product was awesome. I had never heard of this place before but my friend had been wanting to come here for about a year. When we arrived it looked and felt like a cool and trendy restaurant, I was certainly not expecting the... More

On a recent Wednesday night we visited the Crosstown Eating House to celebrate a family birthday. The food was great with a varied menu which featured several Bourbon based specials, as bourbon was the feature flavour for the week. The menu is regularly changed to take advantage of seasonal produce. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and there was a big... More

I visited with a friend for Sunday brunch. I have eaten dinner here before and loved it and am happy to say I enjoyed brunch too. The brunch menu is diverse (almost a little eclectic like the decore). My friend had the cheeseburger and I the steak sandwich. The aioli that came with the steak sandwich was amazing as were... We had been wanting to try this place out for a while, last time we went over to the Gabba it was closed, we popped over the other weekend and it was open and more importantly still serving lunch. We’d previously read loads of good reviews so had pretty high expectations, we had a nice table outside and service was... More
