Indulge your taste buds

It's definitely fine dining where you need to have the budget and most importantly the time to spend. With the drawn out servings, a lot of liquids is consumed between courses. All the extras ... charcoal from Japan in the water jugs, chocolate to take home. Be warned that portions are small but... read more

We diner at Esq (casual) with our son and his partner. The place is fantastic with the beat of the kitchen being the undertone of the atmosphere. the views of the river and the Storey Bridge helped as well. The food was great. Different from the sual balance of flavours on offer in Brisbane and innovative in the style and... More

14 courses sounds like a lot but at Esquire, you lose count. All of the plates (changing daily) are perfectly proportioned, interesting and tasty. I would confidently recommend Esquire to even the most fastidious foodie.

Great creativity in the plates, amazing food! Wines with the degustation menu were spot on and wonderful! My only negative point is the very cold decoration, that does not make you feel comfortable, compare to other restaurants in this category!

We had dinner at Esq (casual) with our two children aged 12 and 8 early on a Saturday night. We were contacted several times via phone and email before our arrival to confirm time etc and on their last phone call to us we were told we had a table. But we arrived and were seated at the bar!! Granted... More

Degustation at its finest. Every course an epitome of the last. Small servings ample to taste but a tease until the next plate arrived! Delightful alcoholic beverages. Their version of ginger beer lingers fondly in my memory ….

I enjoyed an amazing lunch with colleagues at Esquire. We opted for the chef's degustation menu and all the courses were delicate, interesting and delicious. They pushed the boundaries with some but kept true to flavours and textures. The quality of produce was impeccable - the marron were my highlight. The decor and spot on the river are relaxed but... I stumbled across this amazing restaurant whilst visiting Brisbane. The food; views, service and ambience were incredibly. I couldn't fault anything. This is a definite must-see restaurant... Words do not and can not adequately describe how good this place is, which is arguably as good if not better, than restaurants in either Sydney or Melbourne!

Degustation as it should be. 16 courses ensure that all your taste buds are stimulated. Served by staff that know their stuff, at a pace that just seems to add to the experience. Highlights for me were the spice crusted salsify, dried kimchi and wagyu and the pastrami. Less impressive were the duck (no threat many of the specialists in... More

First time in Brisbane and I'd done a bit of research on what was good, for some reason this place didn't rate. It should have. Esquire is tucked away, down the side of an office building, right on the banks of the Brisbane River. It is a quiet, well designed, beautiful restaurant with, clearly, a top notch kitchen team. The... More
