I see a few comments about the service - they appear to use overseas staff and we've noticed that some are better than others. As far as the food and wine goes - alegria is the stand out dining option on the park rd strip. Food is great, wine list is comprehensive. We've left reviews on other sites as well... More

Recently had Sunday lunch with a friend and although the food was nice the service was poor - so much so that after waiting 20 mins to order desserts we then waited another 20 mins until giving up and paying the bill without having them. Disappointing when the waiter said they had an apprentice doing them - assume they had... More

I keep going back. The food and the friendly staff make it an essential location for me. My favourite is the garlic prawns with sourdough followed closely by the platter with balsamic, feta and pickled garlic. Finally got to breakfast there and again great food and service.

We went to Alegria last Friday evening and as a lover of lamb shanks I naturally had to try theirs. Although only a lamb shank (singular) it was a large shank that yielded an ample quantity of beautiful tender and succulent lamb - quite superb!

Good quality and fresh food. Nice amuse bouche. Varied wine list. However, I am always slightly put off when I am presented with a mountain of food. The serves of food are probably too large for two people to enjoy a variety of Tapas (the whole point of tapas is to enjoy a sample of flavours). We shared two tapas... More

Had the most delicious tapas feast. Huge portions full of flavour. Service was excellent too. Can't wait to go back.

We went here for a work lunch and booked in advance. I would recommend booking, it was quite busy even on a working day. We ordered tapas to share and they were all really good. The wine was delicious. The service was a little slow to start with. Enjoyed the lunch and would probably go back to try the dinner... More

Alegria is a shining light in the busy Park Rd strip; with a buzzy but laid back vibe. Visited on a cold Friday, with a reservation, to a packed bistro. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the food is super quality and value. Be warned though that the serve sizes are huge - one tapas and two main courses was... More

Spent a delightful lunchtime with my wife and teenage daughter watching the crowds wander by in the winter sunshine, and delighting in the authentic tapas flavours. Couldn't fault either the food or the service - will most definitely be back (not sure why we haven't been here more often)

Along with a bunch of friends I recently attended the Linfield Rd winemakers dinner here. The food was simple but plentiful, tasty and expertly cooked . Presented on large platters to share the fare included quail , ceviche, beef cheeks and a charcuterie plate that showcased a wonderful black pudding. Preventing a perfect score was the lacklustre cannoli and the... More
