Description: This is a newly opened restaurant. Last night was our first time at Wagaya, and we loved it. Good food, reasonable prices, and fun using a touch screen to order everything. Food and drink arrived within minutes of ordering. You order and eat at your own pace. Lots of options too if you don't like Japanese food. It is rated 92% on Urbanspoon

Had to wait about 10-15 mins for a table which is pretty good for rocking up without a booking on a Saturday night. It was definitely worth the wait. Ordering off a touch screen letting you see a picture of everything you order is great. Everything was fresh, quickly brought to your table and great value. Will definitely be going... More

I like having a waiter who can explain a menu, not an unpleasant person who indignantly refers you to a screen at the end of the table and is not prepared to answer any question. The booths were uncomfortable, the lighting in the booth was like an interrogation room and the food was ghastly. A combination of horrible cooking fat... More

Wagaya is awesome!! We have been a few times and we are impressed. The individual booths, the food, the service and the atmosphere have always been very good. My family loves using the touch screen ordering system. They are always busy on the weekends so you must book.

Must have enjoyed this place at least a dozen times over the last 2 or so years - with different friends in tow. It is similar to many eating establishments all over Japan. All of them agree, great food, great variety, great cold Asahi and great service. If you haven't gone past the basic sushi and "bowl" meals in suburban... More

When we first arrived at the restaurant it was very hot. The service was fast and we ordered off the screen in our booth. The food was pretty average but not expensive.

This restaurant provides an opportunity to try Japanese cuisine that otherwise you might be a little unsure about ordering as the screens make it simple and easy. This method also means that you can try a lot of smaller dishes without feeling like you're messing the restaurant or the wait staff around, although it does mean that you could be... More

This has to be one of the best restaurant experiences I have had. The meals were absolutely faultless, as they were tasty, fresh and very reasonably priced. Although we arrived without a booking, we were greeted warmly and asked if we could be finished our meal in around an hour and a half. We had no problem with this as... More

Having studied Japanese for five years, and having been to Japan, I can tell you that it is really hard to find good, Japanese food in Brisbane. I absolutely LOVE Wagaya. The food is incredible, the traditional dining area is great, the booths are comfy and feel secluded and the ordering process (done on touchscreens rather than using waiters) is... More

I am a frequent traveller to Japan and I must say this place reminds me of Tokyo the most. Very efficient ordering system and the beer arrives nice and cold. I found some of the dishes not to be as good as in Japan, particularly the Gyoza which was for me a bit overcooked and slightly dry. Overall though this... More

I took my girlfriend out for dinner and she is a big fan of Japanese food. She loved the idea of ordering on a computer screen and the food was very delicious! It made our dinning experience fun and something different to how Japanese restaurants normally are. They also have a good drinks menu!
