Great experience and good food

Nice for something different, very authentic food combined with the usual fried western faves. Sashimi is always fresh and tasty, as is the sushi in general. Staff are a little rude (I have visited 5 times so far...so it's not bad enough to bother me, just something to note) you order through touch... read more

We had an excellent first visit to Wagaya. What impressed us was how organised the service was and how fresh the food was. Each dish arrived promptly and all were very tasty whether hot or cold. The only problem I felt, that as a person who suffers from chronic arthritis, trying to get in to the lowered seating was difficult... More

It's like in a Japanese faiy since the very first moment you enter. Food is delicious, the interiors are very artistic and it all has a magic in it. Super sufficient and helpful staff. No.1 in Australia on the Japanese Foods list!

Slightly difficult to access due to 3 flights of stairs as lift was faulty. Parents ended up being escorted by the friendly staff to the kitchen lift to gain access to the booths. Booths are ok but again difficult to get in and out of. The food however was awesome. Easy to order touch screen menu at the base of... More

Came here just before closing on a Monday evening so admittedly not the best timing but the food was too heavy and a little Westernised for my liking (I'm not a fan of lots of mayonnaise in sushi). Though the computerised ordering system was fun and effective it meant there was little-to-no human interaction, something I really enjoy when eating... More

We loved this place! We didn't have a booking but were lucky enough that some people were leaving. The touch screen means fast & efficient service and the food arrives soon after ordering. We had the prawn dumplings, butter fried scallops - particularly scrumptious!! - pork pancake and tempura veg udon. All delish & perfect amount for two of us.... More

While this is not the most authentic Japanese food, the restaurant is modern, there is a decent selection of food and drinks and their special dining and function rooms are really cool. I would recommend this for almost any event - corporate, family, friends or date. The whole atmosphere suits.

I had always introduced Wagaya as the best karaoke venue in Brisbane. Now, I have completely changed my mind. A group of 5 arrived on a busy Friday night without a reservation. Upon arrival, we were informed that karaoke rooms with Chinese system installed were fully booked. A real bummer! But we were totally fine with it and then stayed... More

Wagaya is awesome! Food is delicious, I especially like the takoyaki ,the crab , and the creme brulee. Love the ordering system and have always found the staff to be polite. The restaurant is always clean and beautifully decorated.

This place is fun for your first time as it has a touch screen menu. So you just touch, order and wait. Very efficient experience and the food is always fresh. I did notice some food items to be overpriced and under plated but that's life I guess. Recommend anyone to visit at least once.
