3.5 stars in Reality for Me - Good, not Great

I've eaten at Euro previously and enjoyed the experience, although I remember the dessert choice being extremely limited the last time we ate there. This time I felt the whole menu was limited in its choices. Considering it was such a limited menu, I would have thought they could at least offer a... read more

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2015 NEW

My partner, (who was diagnosed with liver cancer two years' ago), booked us a table at The Euro. A rare chance for us to get away from our bucolic existence in Byron Shire and explore the urban wonders of Brisbane. I made a call: Digby is 'special needs' .. can't eat sugar, wheat, animal products blah blah ... the lady... More

I booked for an event however when we arrived the area was not ready. We ordered cocktails during happy hour but at the end of the night we we charged full price. The wait staff were nice, however the wait at the bar was long and frustrating. When our food came out we got another tables order and all order... More

We went out as a foursome for a quiet meal. We had the best the best meal with the some of the best wine and service that I have seen in Brisbane. The bill was not the cheapest but the experience was well worth it.

I decided on this restaurant as I was craving continental cuisine and like the riverfront location, not too far from my hotel on King George Square. This is a highly rated place, but my experience both with the service and the food was not up to par with the multitude of accolades I read online. I walked into the place... More

I've been here twice in the last few months. It is not cheap. Bottles of wine start at $70. The wine list looks impressive with several vintages of Grange. But it is very frustrating. Last time they did not have the wine I ordered. This time, I ordered a $95 bottle (2011 Margaret River Cab Merlot). They brought a 2013... More

I had high hopes for this European inspired bistro after reading reviews on the urban list. It is apparently dubbed as Urbane's trendier little sister. We booked for 8pm and as is usually fitting arrived at 1930 for pre dinner cocktails. After being ushered to the upstairs cocktail bar. I had the "pleasure" of being informed that my first choice... We have been here about 12 months ago and left with a similar feeling. Food was a 3 plus but not quite a 4. The bread were were served was too salty as was the calamari entree. The main of steak tasted pretty good but the meat was quite chewy and for $40 plus we expected a litte bit more.... More

Hard to describe how important a setting plan could influence a dining experience. Although there was a variety of tables in the front area, as a couple we were seated right next to the gathering area. Hard to have a quiet dinner for 2. I asked if another seating was possible. The answer was that they weren't going to be... More
