Cicada is a casual yet sophisticated bistro and bar in the heart of the Brisbane CBD.

Our menu offers something for everyone, with everything from hearty and healthy breakfasts, seafood and steak for lunch, takeaway options including roasts, salads and pasta, and a diverse range of dinner options, including share plates. And of course delicious coffee, by Toby's Estate.

As dusk falls at Cicada we turn into a buzzing afterworks bar with everything from top shelf spirits, craft beer, wine and cocktail jugs.

Breakfast was average

Had the smashed avocado for breakfast after the dish I wanted wasn't available. There was nothing intrinsically bad with it, it had all the elements, but it was very average, left feeling uninspired.

Found this restaurant for lunch and so happy I did! The meal (I had the crumbed chicken & tomato salad) was excellent! Would definitely go back for a meal next time I'm in Brisbane.

Went for breakfast, the food was delicious but had to wait for our coffee which didn't arrive till we had almost finished our food. Was mostly disappointed that they refused to split the bill, even though I needed to pay for mine with a corporate card. There were only two of us and it wasn't overly busy so can't see... More

This is a review based on a few visits over the period of a year or so. Each time I've been here the service, food and amenity has been consistently excellent. The menu is interesting and the food well-prepared and tasty. The staff are more than happy to help set up tables suitable for group bookings and even when busy... More

A group of us went out to lunch there. I had the crispy squid salad, the squid was cooked ok but greasy and the salad wasn't a salad just some decoration on the side with just cucumber and green leaves. It was also expensive for what you got.

Sit inside or out - very good coffee, extensive breakfast menu and also either an a la carte lunch or choose from the fabulous salads and meals at the counter. Reasonably priced. Buzzing atmosphere.

Missed this bistro by accident after walking past, if you are trying to find it off the George street address just understand that it is behind another building before you can actually see it. I found this restaurant by searching trip advisor and thoroughly enjoyed a casual dinner with some friends of mine who are all in their late 20's... More

This restaurant has a great vibe, especially on that side of Brisbane CBD. You can sit indoors or out because the big open windows/walls create an open air feeling. I haven't been there in the winter, but I bet that it is cozy. The food is creative and service is friendly and good. My only complaint that keeps this from... More
