I was back in town for business 18 months after my last visit, and dropped in again. The James Street Bistro continues to provide outstanding service and great food, in a relaxed atmosphere. Just delightful. I had brunch and coffee, and will be back when I am next in town!

the bistro has a great atmosphere and is in a fantastic location. the food is good, not amazing, and is a bit over priced. but still, great place to hang out and chill

We loved dining at James St Bistro. We found out about it from online reviews and were not disappointed at all. Excellent value for high standard and delicious food! Its our new favorite place for breakfast outside Sydney. Also, professional service. Highly recommend it!

This place is average at best, in the James street and valley area there are so many fantastic cafes so don't bother with this one. Its not bad but its competition are alot better.

Moroccan salad - whilst tasty, it was light on chicken and the basics of a salad is if the greens are wilting DON'T put them on a plate!! Coffee was poor to say the least. Place wasn't busy yet it took ages to pay the bill.

Four of us stopped here for a Sunday lunch and found the food to be excellent. The calamari was the best we have ever had and we order it often. We tried 4 different cakes and they were all very good albeit the size was a bit big and we couldn't finish our plates - a good complaint to have.... More

Went here the other day for a late breakfast with a girlfriend and it was quite relaxing. Don't be in a rush because this place is for sitting the day away and watching the world go by. Food was nice and they had some beautiful gluten free bread to go with there poached eggs and grilled tomato. Prices are very... More

Having eaten here a year previously with a tasty shared plate my wife and I returned after a movie to enjoy a light meal. The staff were pleasant and the service acceptable. Unfortunately the leek & mushroom risotto of which we both liked the description was inedible with mushroom pieces so tough one had to saw at them with the... More

Menu seemed a bit restricted - I had a platter with nice bread, dips out of a jar etc, roast peppers out a jar - nothing special $22. Got my friends order wrong - no apology. Certainly nothing to make me want to go back there. Nice location - but better food to be had elsewhere

Staff are rude and have no idea what they are doing. For a table that was spending a great deal of money not only on food but copious drinks it would have been nice if we received a drink occasionally. Food was a massive let down as well, had read mixed reviews but we certainly were there on a bad... More
