While visiting Brisbane we chose Verve due to Tripadvisor reviews. Yes it can be noisy but that adds to the ambiance. Most important is the food which is authentic Italian. Pricing is average but the sizings aren't - we were pleasantly surprised by the generous servings of prawns and pasta. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of different ciders to... More

The wife and I visited yesterday for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. The dining area was a little dark but once your eyes adjusted everything was fine. The food was excellent....fantastic even. The wife claims it was the best meal she had eaten during our seven months in Brisbane and it's hard to disagree with her (ever). Oh,... More

As a visitor to the city we decided to eat early and relax in our hotel room. Worked well the Verve appears very popular with the waitress telling us it becomes noisy. That was just becoming that way at 6.30 as the crowd was arriving. The food though was very good both the pasta and risotto we had were great.... More

Verve has good moderately priced Italian food but it is the large Australian cider menu and relaxed atmosphere that make it such a nice dining experience.

I went there with my wife. The food was stunnings especially the Rositto and the beef, the way I like it and how they presented it was top off.

Love this restaurant. Hidden gem. Delicious pasta, generous serves and reasonably priced. Funky, basement atmosphere with original artworks adorning the old brick walls.

I went with a group on a business trip, so it wasn't my choice in the first place. You can tell, just by looking at the menu, that is lacking in healthy eating options and full of pasta and pizza, that this place is really set up for undiscriminating diners. The tables are very basic, not set up nicely or well... Turned up to Verve on a Tuesday night without a booking and was surprised to find they had very limited space (must be a good sign though?). They offered us a table for an hour – not ideal, but we decided to take it. Before we ordered however they managed to rearrange the settings and put us at another table... More

Dined here the other day and ordered the lamb shank gnocchi special. Very tasty and perfect size portion. Priced perfectly and an overall very very enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was awesome and they catered for 14 of us. Only complaint was when it came to pay we paid for another table and then had to sort it out ourselves. Other... More

The meals were large and delicious and great value for the price. The venue itself is as noisy as every other reviewer mentioned, but we were in a group making a bit of noise ourselves, so we didn't mind.
