Description: Zafron's unique cuisine is representative of the 25 years of professional experience and passion from Chef/Owner Farideh Knopf (Chef Fay). The diverse menu offers about 30% traditional Persian dishes. Other dishes are Euro-style fusion with Mediterranean, French and Italian influences. Our most popular dish is Caspian Chicken- a French styled dish of pomegranate-marinated chicken tenderloins with wilted spinach and carmelised carrots topped with a creamy white whine and saffron sauce and pomegranate molasses.Zafron is unpretentious and welcoming. The dishes are prepared with care and love.

Checked out Zafron recently after reading a bunch of great reviews here and can confirm all of them. We ordered the Caspian chicken which was by far the standout dish, closely followed by the koolfee (orange blossom and pistachio ice-cream). The only let down for me was the chello kebab, which while tasty wasn't spectacular (char-grilled chicken, saffron rice and... More

The best hospitality I have ever seen in a restaurant. They never let you go back once you appear at the door, even if the kitchen is about to close. The Quality is what you never forget.

I have never written a review on Trip Advisor before, I've been tempted, cajoled and inspired to but never committed to putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys), until now. This restaurant is an absolute gem in the chain dominated world we live in. My partner and I visited here late on a Tuesday night to find the kitchen... More

We settled on this restaurant based on the reviews on trip adviser, looking for food which we do not have available in the town where we live. We normally only eat mains but had entrees as well as we did not want to pass up on the opportunity. All the food we had was excellent, every bite was worth overstepping... More

Just want to say that their signature chicken dish (don't recall the name - maybe the Caspian Chicken others are talking about) was insanely good. If I'm ever back in Brisbane, this will be one of my first dinners I have.

This restaurant is in my home town. Anyone visiting Brisbane that wants an evening of delicious food should take a trip to Zafron on Brunswick in New Farm. We take friends here to introduce them to a fusion of Persian and Mediterranean style food. My husband and I dine here regularly as we know the food will be fabulous and... More

Once again you never disappoint.... I love you food so much so I always order bread on the side to soak up the gorgeous rich creamy sauce. CASPIAN CHICKEN completes me.

I invited a group of family and friends to join me for a birthday celebration meal at Zafron. The manager was extremely accommodating, and the food was lovely (I had just returned from a trip to Iran, and I have to say, the Persian food is better at Zafron!). The long table on the front verandah, the atmosphere, the helpful... More

My wife and decided to go based on the positive reports on trip advisor and were not disappointed. Wait staff were pleasant with good knowledge of the menu backed by excellent service. Our entree was the shared Zafron handmade mixed tapas which we both enjoyed. This was followed by Khoresht-I-Shirazi a lamb stew which we also enjoyed. To finish the... More
