Zafron's unique cuisine is representative of the 25 years of professional experience and passion from Chef/Owner Farideh Knopf (Chef Fay). The diverse menu offers about 30% traditional Persian dishes. Other dishes are Euro-style fusion with Mediterranean, French and Italian influences. Our most popular dish is Caspian Chicken- a French styled dish of pomegranate-marinated chicken tenderloins with wilted spinach and carmelised carrots topped with a creamy white whine and saffron sauce and pomegranate molasses.Zafron is unpretentious and welcoming. The dishes are prepared with care and love.

The food is amazing here, full of exotic flavors and spice. I have dined there twice and have never been disappointed. The turkish bread and dips are delicious. My favorite restaurant in Brisbane.

The good: The host was welcoming on arrival. My partner and I are both vegetarian and there was a good range of options. The vegetarian entree platter was excellent, and good value. We both enjoyed our mains, which were tasty and had good spice. The vegetarian Khoresht–i-Shirazi in particular was extremely enjoyable. The desserts were also quite good. The bad:... More

We went for an early dinner- arriving at 6.30pm. We chose the table we wanted (under a fan, as there was no air conditioning and it was over 30C).We were attended to immediately and given menus. We chose Caspian Chicken and morello cherry rice with tiny meatballs. These went together very well and the servings were generous. We highly recommend... More

Good food, reasonably priced nice mild flavours and great range of vegetarian options, a good simple family restaurant or somewhere which will cater to lots of tastes with a big group. Nothing that will blow you out of the water though flavour wise.

Evening meal at Zafron was a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent, table just as requested. A very pleasant atmosphere, not too crowded or busy but strong impression this was a very popular local restaurant. A very pleasant, amiable, relaxed atmosphere but with the finer touches. The food was unusual and interesting but would appeal to most palettes I... More
