My family and I, have been enjoying this cafe for over 10 years! (when there was a smokers room)I have always received exceptional service and have always found the food to be outstanding. The view, the location and the reasonable prices have made this a family favourite. My first date, our companies first christmas party and many more have made... More

We asked for a window table when we booked and they gave us the best table in the restaurant. The service was excellent; friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with reasonable portion sizes. The background music perfectly suited our taste. It wasn't cheap but anything good rarely is!

Isnt it interesting? We have not as yet had bad service as poor mareemaree seems to have had. Hopefully that waiter has now moved on. This is our regular little spot (us being neighbours). We go there on spec quite often and usually eat one of their well-priced quick specials. They have a pretty good $25 menu including a glass... More

Bad service, Had to wait for 10 minutes at the front of the restaurant, After waiting we decided to walk in by ourselves, we walked halfway through the tiny restaurant and the waiter appeared. We gave him our booking details for our special occasion and he pointed to a seat in the corner next to another couple. All the seats... More

Dropped in unexpectantly on a Sunday morning to escape a downpour. Just had coffee, but must say it was a really good coffee!! Cannot make comment about the food, but restaurant seemed busy.

Excellent service from well trained waitstaff. The food (breakfast) was perfection and they make a great coffee. A perfect place to catch your breath, grab a bite and watch the river traffic go past.

John took Jan to his academic mate's retirement lecture and party with no option to catch up with his lovely adult girls for fathers day. We walked along the river the day before and chose the Venice as a suitably casual but excellent restaurant for the fathers day lunch. We had a great table on the verandah with a view... More

This place looks interesting and enticing from afar, but that is all she has to offer as all is revealed on closer inspection. This restaurant has an interesting Italian theatre/opera theme, however the decorations and furnishings have had their day - they look tired and amost grubby - the place badly needs a new look, new concept and refurbishment. I... More

I went there for breakfast as it was located near to the place I was staying. The food is average and certain areas need improvement. However, I must comment on the waitress. She left a strong impression with a sincere smile. Whenever she approaches us or any patrons, she smiles. I have been to many restaurants and this simple gesture... More

I accompanied my wife to a conference dinner at the Venice Restaurant and Bar on 27 April 2012. The establishment has a pleasant décor and distinct modern Mediterranean ambience. For those wishing to eat outside, the Venice has an alfresco area. Due to continuous rain on the evening, we were deprived of any worthwhile views of an illuminated Storey Bridge... More
