Top spot in the Top End

What a wonderful cafe in Darwin. Beautiful leather seats, candles on the tables, cold water and cold towels brought to your table as soon as you sit down. Such a welcome relief after walking in the heat of Darwin. Wonderful food, great coffee and top service from excellent staff. A must if you... read more

Walked in off the street, great atmosphere even better coffee. I wasn't expecting to be able to find decent coffee in Darwin but Java spice exceeded my expectations. Java spice would be a success in the home of Australian coffee (Melbourne). I watched Irene fastidiously make a macchiato- perfect! I also had the Apple cake which they serve with ice... More

Anyone looking for a little oasis that offers great coffee, food and atmosphere, then here it is. Situated around the corner from the Hilton Hotel, this was the perfect spot that offered a break from the heat of Darwin in a very tasteful environment. Rae & Nello from Brisbane

I used to love this place, but it's fallen off the rails just recently. All the asian waitresses have had a mass exodus and the service is simply not the same. It's a piece of Singapore in the heart of darwin. The cakes are excellent, I must say, but the last couple of times I've been there, I've found the... More

We stumbled across this coffee shop when driving around the city, and are glad we did. Though we did not sample the menu apart from the coffee, we were totally impressed by the ambiance of the place - comfortable chairs, well-placed for privacy but also catering for larger groups, friendly service - and of course good coffee. Yes, a little... More

Great latte - the chocolate coated coffee bean is a great touch, can also appreciate the cold towels on arrival when eating in. The ham+cheese+tomato toasties are beyond good, but $13 is a bit rough - especially when it's same price to take away.

Usually such a great cafe with such great service and atmosphere! But our last visit was a bit of a let down with bad service actually, no service. We waited for ages for our food and even a bottle of water took them 20minutes to bring!

Moya is a fun host, who REALLY knows how to cook scrambled eggs - they were fantastic, as was the coffee, atmosphere and service.
