I do like to visit here when I visit Darwin because they have comfortable chairs, good quality crockery, and tasty, if basic, food. However, staff are a little laid back, and they keep on missing things, such as delivering complete orders. They could provide a few more menus as well, as they are really hard to find and when you... More

Very unfriendly. Decided just to have coffee as uncomfortable feeling. Food menu almost non existent. Very disappointed.

The decor will draw you in but if you want more than coffee you might be disappointed. The chilled water and chilled moist towels brought to the table are a nice touch which I imagine would be much appreciated in the Darwin build-up and wet seasons. This was my second visit and after an uninspiring first visit I had a... More

Many times i have been to java and it has never let me down. Lots of nice touches including friendly service, cold towels delivered on arrival and lovely crockery/cups & saucers. Toasties are amazing and you can really taste the good quality ingredients they use. Comfortable seating, great music playlists and sensational smells wafting everywhere.

We had spent five days in Darwin and enjoyed the city, the surroundings, the galleries and a couple of the special shops however we were disappointed not to be able to find good quality coffee. On the 2nd last day we dropped by at Java Spice Cafe and were very impressed with the location, the ambience, the cakes and the... More

I lunched at Java Spice with a colleague and was very pleasantly surprised. The food and coffee were good but I really liked the attention to detail, decor and the general atmosphere of the place. It was very relaxed, and really pleasant for a good chat over lunch.

I enjoyed the whole atmosphere - nice waitresses - a beautiful orchid flower and hot towel with each service. Very nice chiffon cake. Good coffee, but when I asked if there were different blends available it seemed not. Some live music while I was there.

Jave cafe isn't your run of the mill breakfast place. They serve toastie's, rolls, Ham & Chicken. So don't come for eggs. Fabulous selection of cakes. It's interestingly furnished. Bright colours Artwork on the walls is all done by the owner & for sale. Lounges as well as seats. Very comfortable. Air-Conditioned. Good, not great coffee. Fast service. It's one of... More

6 months ago I gave java spice a 10/10 now I would only give it a 1. Went there today sloppy service, coffee cold. The cake was doughy and not cooked.
