I have visited Java spice a few times last year on business and overall was impressed with this quirky and beautiful cafe in Darwin. On my recent trip though I was disgusted at how poorly we were treated. The staff were rude and didn't acknowledge us, when I asked if I could see a menu the waitress said they dont... More

I visited this cafe on a regular basis but I will no longer purchase anything from this cafe. Straight to the point, HORRIBLE customer service.

Last week stopped by and brought what I thought was a nice cup of take away coffee only to find I had in fact purchased 1/2 cup cold take away coffee and when I complained the manger Moya surprisingly offered me 10 free cups but to date I have never seen the "free coffee". Then when I call her on... More

I stopped here for a coffee twice while in Darwin. It has a really nice feel to it - air conditioned, nice artwork, quirky decor. They brought a bottle of chilled water and a cold hand towel with the coffee. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's opposite Parliament House. The coffee was good - I will come again when... No service, no towels, no cold water, dirty table, the staff rude, texting whilst serving, bad mannered Used to be so good but now I'm definitely not coming back, second time I've come and the service has been poor

Good service, excellent coffee and the most delicious selection of cakes served in an exotic and fragrant location make Jave Spice a special place to be.

After visiting this cafe many times over the past years to return this year with my parents I actually felt embarrassed. While the decor is still delightful, the service was extremely poor, no menu was offered (or for that matter the once customery cold face washer and chilled water) we were greeted ubruptly by a waitress been in hand saying... I first went to Java Spice over a year ago and it was wonderful, great service, coffee and great food. Over the last 18 months it really has declined. Very rude unfriendly service, the coffee is average and the food boring. The choices have become limited and the once wonderful cakes look like they are out of a supermarket, honestly... More

I come here all the time. Mainly because it is comfortable Quirky and Air conditioned. It is very expensive but normal a good feel so I have been happy to pay the prices. Staff have never been warm & friendly. Today they dropped the ball big time. I have been told this numerous times from my colleges. Filthy table. I... More

I do like to visit here when I visit Darwin because they have comfortable chairs, good quality crockery, and tasty, if basic, food. However, staff are a little laid back, and they keep on missing things, such as delivering complete orders. They could provide a few more menus as well, as they are really hard to find and when you... More
