Vegetarian haven in Rapid Creek

Off the beaten track between suburbs Fannie Bay and Nightcilff. Delicious inexpensive food with generous helpings in laid back environment. I had a spinach pumpkin beetroot and cheese pasty with salad and a fresh fruit juice flavoured with raw ginger and turmeric. Seriously good coffee. A local... read more

I did not enjoy my lunch here. I had a beetroot curry but it did not taste very good. My partner said she enjoyed her meal. There were quite a few diners so it is popular with the locals here.

I would drive a long way for a bowl of Martin's curried beetroot. And I like it so much that I never seem to get to the good looking lentil dishes! It is a very casual cafe with a quirky aspect. It is a few kilometres out of the city centre, at Coconut Grove, but well worth the trip. Best... More

This place is special, it is one of the very few places in Darwin that offers food that is veg/vegan healthy and hearty. The owner is almost always there cooking and serving which means the place has kept true to the intentions at the creation of this cafe. This in turn gives it a very homely atmoshphere and makes it... More

This is actually the only vegetarian/vegan cafés in Darwin! A bit hidden in the industrial area of Coconut Grove you can find this beautiful little gem. There is a nice undercover outside area or you can sit inside with air conditioning. We decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful dry season day. The menu has a good selection... More

Healthy food tucked away near yoga studio. Good coffee and laid back, ambience. Yummy, natural food with good breakfast choices.

Eat at martin's is in a unassuming commercial building off the tourist beaten track in coconut grove but don't let put you off. Very good selection of yummy vegetarian food. Unfortunately the beet root pasties were all finished by the time we arrived but we had the potato masala one instead with salad and it was great. I also had... More

I luckily discovered this cafe whilst accompanying a friend to a nearby business just recently. This was my great fortune as I cannot get enough of this place. Goats cheese palak is fantastic and the chickpea choc cake to die for. Pasties are so yummy. I am suddenly finding reasons to be conveniently in the area to drop in. Am... More

We arrived upon closing time and Martin couldn't have been nicer, welcoming us to a table without hurrying us along. The salads are pretty big so we shared one of these and also a potato pie. The latter was very cleverly done, almost upside down and very tasty. Would definitely make this a regular haunt on Saturday mornings.

This is one of my favourite lunchtime options around Darwin.. I wish they were open for dinner.. but make a good dinner take out option if you come in the afternoon.. there are so so so many yummy things on the menu. The beetroot pastie thingies and the potato pasties (a bit like a samosa) and salad are scrumptious. So... More
