Staff were charming and attentive, food was excellent and the overall ambience of the place was beguiling. Darwin is a friendly city anyway and Saffrron reflects that great feeling. No more needs to be said.

We decided to eat at Saffrron based in part on the reviews we read here. We made our reservation on line using the Restaurant web site which was very user friendly. We had a shellfish allergy in our party and the web site even allowed us to identify this which was awesome. When we arrived the restaurant was absolutely packed,... More

Went here for dinner mid week and the place was packed (worth booking). The food was fantastic with a good variety of heats. One naan bread was over cooked but when bought to the attention of staff it was very quickly replaced with one of the best naans I've had. The service was very attentive without being overbearing. They use... More

My husband and I both enjoyed an evening meal here. It's been a while since I've had Indian food this good. Vegetarian samosas were gloriously fresh and tasty and beautifully presented with 3 sauces. It was a difficult choice, but for mains we opted for Madra Jew fish curry and Baingan and Chickpea Masala ...... Both tasty. Service was friendly... More

We had a wonderful meal at Saffrron - some unusual curries and meals were on offer. The Barra was wonderful, as was the pepper chicken curry. Service was quick and efficient. So sad that we were only in Darwin for a couple of nights, and will definitely put Saffrron on the list for a re-visit when next in the area.

As a coordinator for one of the local football clubs I approached the Owner regarding conducting a fundraising function on premises. Sel(head chef/owner) created a stunning 5 course dining experience that was excellent. We had 32 attendees and each and everyone has continued to rave about the experience. With a limited design the team from Saffrron managed to create a... More

Always a treat to eat at Saffrron. Have been away from Darwin for a while. Glad to return and see they have maintained their usual high standards. High quality local food, wonderful fresh Barra and the best Pumpkin Kari Kari. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Will certainly be back.

We recently had two meals here in a week - couldn't stay away from the fabulous food, great value and friendly, attentive staff. Great dining for couples or groups.

This was really a very pleasant surprise. The food was delicious. One dish was a bit too hot for me though. I am sure the more I go to Saffron the more I will get used to it. I will definitely be going back. Lovely , pleasant staff and loved the fact that the seafood was local and they used... More

The seafood is locally caught, so plump prawns straight off the boats and fresh, firm barra and jewfish. The curries are really fragrant as spices are freshly ground and each dish tastes unique. We love the extensive vegetarian menu - rare and much appreciated up here - along with locally grown vegies and herbs. We will be visiting again.
