Good variety of food and good quality, Asian food that I like. We were in Darwin 2 years ago and ate here, in May we returned and the food was not as good for some reason. A lot of locals eat here but a marked decline this time.

It saddens me to write a poor review of a restaurant that I used to visit nearly every week but I've now stopped going after having several bad experiences in a row. Let me say upfront that my complaint is not with the food. The dishes they serve during their Sunday brunch Yum Cha are hot, tasty and come in... More

Had a wonderful time in the place with most of Chinese food. Love the pecking duck they make. Very tasty... as the name :P

Finf yourself a seat facing the Smith Street mall at lunchtime and enjoy a chinese beer, some steamed dumplings or steamed fish or chicken dishes. Any of the fried dishes are generally pedestrian and not to my taste. It is always cool inside and a little bit dark which can be a nice bit of relief from the Darwin heat... More

My family are regulars at Tasty House. The chinese dishes are excellent - very authentic. The main draw though is the Yum Cha...especially on Sundays when you grab a tray and pick what you want from the kitchen. As usual our eyes are bigger than our stomachs.... you can choose from all manner of steamed and fried dumplings, roast duck... More

Away from the busyness of Mitchell Street and think it was mainly locals in there, which is always a good sign. Tempted in by the fact they had a few tofu dishes on the menu, something lacking in most of the restaurants nearby. Had a veggie spring roll starter - very nice, as not at all greasy, with a good... Last night I dined at Tasty House Darwin Australia. The meal was terrific. We had the Peking duck which was great value for money and included 2 courses. The service was also excellent with very pleasant staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to dine out in Darwin.

You know the food is good when you see so many locals and business people having lunch there. The San Choy Bow is one of the best Ive had right across Australia! Casual atmosphere, at times a little hectic, however the food is brilliant.

We booked in advance and I planned beforehand to try the famous peking duck. I wasn't disappointed and the half duck was brought out on a trolley, carved and then pancakes made for us at the table. The service was very good and they were very attentive. I would suggest trying this restaurant even if it's just for the peking... More

I went here for a banquet with work colleagues and I could taste that the soup entree was of the tinned variety! I remember the taste from my broke uni days but I expect a bit more from a restaurant that's for sure.
