Fantastic sunset location, good Fish and Chips

First of all this is not a restaurant. More a takeaway fish and chips place with a nice deck which is the perfect okay to watch a Darwin sunset. You order from the board. We ordered crumbed Barra ($15 per piece), half a serve of chips, potato cake and salad and soft drinks and the bill was nearly... read more

Have enjoyed the choice here and the food always seems fresh. Staff are efficient and I would go back in the future.

This is now a fish and chip place not a restaurant! There are plenty of tables and the grass by the sea provides a beautiful setting. The food is good and there is alternatives for non fish lovers.

Great casual dining for the family. Kids can run amok and burn off some energy down the beach before you dine. Beautiful seafood - do yourself a favour and order the prawns with the lime aioli sauce. I am not a prawn fan but wow these r delicious! Only negative would be the thread fish salmon. Too mushy. great service,... More

The outdoor seating overlooking the beach makes this a fabulous place to have fish and chips, and you can also take your food and sit on a lawn area or the beach itself. The actual fish and chips, though, were a little bit disappointing. The chips were okay but the batter on the barra and the potato cakes was very... More

We ordered takeaway barra & chips for 3 last week just before sunset, from this well-known fish and chip cafe with many great reviews. We collected it as soon as it was ready, ate 10 minutes later. Our chips were dried out, soggy and very ordinary, fish OK, batter average. Service good. Location great leading onto a public green area... More

The views of the sunset over the beach is fantastic. The seating is all outside. So no air conditioning. The food is fish and chips as it should be served in paper. There is seafood as well. There is a good family atmosphere and kids are welcome. It is an enjoyable experience looking at the sunset eating fish and chips.... More

La beach is a different sort of restaurant. Not quite open air, it has an array of casual tables where you can take your paper-wrapped fish and chips and bottles of drink, one you bring a picnic rig, and/or folding chairs, and picnic on the grass overlooking the beach and harbour. Lovely at sunset but don't forget the insect repellent... More

Love to meet my friends and family here and sit on the open covered area or on the lawns with our fish and chips. Food cooked fresh on ordering.
