Great Place for Dinner

Had dinner here the 1 night we were in Darwin. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area which looks out to a big patch of green grass and the sea. It's beautiful. The fish and chips came wrapped up in paper and we just ate out of it. The food is quite nice, fish tastes fresh. Nothing to... read more

The view is great!!! Love the location. Would definitely say take a picnic blanket, and a bottle of BYO wine to sit out on the grass with ur fish and chips. Fish is either cooked too long or tough tho😬 little disappointing. Always super busy

We've eaten here twice now and unfortunately both times the foods been below average. Yesterday the chips tasted undercooked. The potato cakes were overcooked and the oil used must have been very dirty. The crumbed Barra was a decent portion and cooked nicely, the SA battered whiting we couldn't eat. The batter wasn't crispy at all. The serving sizes are... More

Great view, and with other positive reviews we thought this was the place to go. The drinks and view were great, but the food was disappointing. Average selection, and overcooked fish and chips. For what we got, I thought it was rather overpriced. We will not be returning. If you want some drinks and a good view this is the... More

We had high expectations of having fish and chips whilst watching the sunset over the sea and according to Trip Advisor, Stokes Hill Wharf was the place to go. Let me tell you, we went and the place is so down market, with such poor looking food we had a coffee and left and the sun sets behind it....... What... More

For a casual meal it is hard to go past La Beach! The fish and chips are great and the view (especially mixed in with a glass of wine and good company) is unbeatable! Expect to queue a bit to order on a Friday night. If possible, take your own chairs or picnic rug, BYO drinks and dine out on... More

Such a beautiful view to drink wine and eat some good fish and chips to! The Jewfish was really good, chips were good, calamari was the stand out! Natural oysters were okay but for $21 a dozen it was fine! Definutely be back!

We paid $45 dollars for 2 people and I got an over cooked frozen chewy piece of barra and we couldn't even eat the potato cakes because they were just like pure batter mess! Very disappointing given the location. Won't be returning

We've been here a couple of times now, and each time the food, service and ambiance is consistently good! Ideal for a quick choice of where to go for dinner on a weekday or weekend.

We enjoyed La Beach fish & chips while on a sunset cruise with Sea Darwin. We had no idea or choice on where the fid came from, it was all arranged prior. What a pleasant surprise! I don't normally care for fish and chips to be honest. So this was fantastic indeed! Locally caught fish, and locally sourced potatoes. We... More
