I was hungry!

One of the more casual spots in the giant tourist trap that is Ayers Rock Resort, the choice of proteins to buy and grill was limited. The steak was thin, mediocre and expensive and the salad bar was abysmal but I was hungry.

Great salad bar to go with your choice of meat or fish. Cook it yourself and then have some apple crumble for dessert. Yum. Great semi outdoor dining experience. casual and fun

The self-BBQ was fun, and the all-you-can-eat salad bar was fresh. I particularly liked the Greek salad, with chunks of feta cheese.

Hello MrWuyou Thanks for the great feedback on BBQ Bar. Our chefs have only just recently added a few variations to the salad selection and your comments on the Greek salad show we are on the right track. Regards General Manager Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge More

We ate here last night and I had the Barramundi and also tried an Emu sausage. On offer was also Crocodile sausages, Kangaroo steaks, and Prawn skewers, along with all your normal cuts of meat. You cook your meal yourself on the little bbq's provided and there is an 'all you can eat' salad buffet with some desserts to finish... More

Cook your own steak on gas barbecues lots of salads which are truly delicious and apple crumble for dessert. All eaten with live music in the background and beer or whatever you want to drink available in the pub! What's not to like?

Great place to sit and chill. Tennis was in plasma screens, fans with demisters on. Dinner done on the BBQ one nit and fish and chips the next. Good value - live music and lots of activity. Very friendly staff.

This was a busy place the night we were there and although the atmosphere was light and jovial, the line was long and the feeling of being back at the school cafeteria was palpable. This venue is great for big groups and families, who can enjoy the variety and selection. There is a good buzz lots of noise and often... More

Only spent a couple of hours here, but it was very enjoyable. Great pub atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff and great prices. Brought our young daughter and she was also happy. Good if you want to get away from the pricier resorts for a while.

This is in the Pioneer Lodge area. You order your meat, get it raw, and you cook it your self on large grills. I don’t know how to cook a kangaroo or emu or how long. They don’t tell you and they don’t clean the grills when you are finished – meaning those with allergies are on their own; who... More

Hello Tarainjag Thanks for sharing your experience of the BBQ Bar. This is a self cook area with a notice board just above the salad bar which gives indications of cook times for various meats, as we appreciate that not everyone has BBQ cooking experience. The BBQ area is supplied with oils and scrapping utensils as it is common place... More
