Bush Tucker in Alice

Very good restaurant in Alice Springs. Authentic "Bush Tucker" with some very interesting twists. This is one step short of excellent, but very, very good. Probably the best in Alice Springs. We had been looking for something uniquely Australian during our trip of the Outback and Red Ochre... read more

Terrible service, overpriced for the food provided, I think my Barramundi was smothered in watered down sweet chilli sauce out of a bottle. My wifes medium steak was almost raw, the fat around the outside was. The service is not proactive, ie bring water without being asked, observe that drinks are empty and ask if more are needed, had to... More

Fantastic meal and wonderful service. We shared our entre of camel and emu. Perfect. Then it was topped off by the best cooked Barra I have ever had.

We called in for lunch - at the time there were about 3 tables with customers. The menu on the wall and the look of the place were inviting. We found it difficult to get the attention of staff - one of whom seemed happy to talk to someone who just came in off the street - a mate perhaps?... More

Very disappointed. Chicken dish was very disappointing. Pork ribs fine. Service well below average. Drinks! How hard is it? We need to find other places to eat in Alice Springs

We had a dinner here few days ago. We had steak, Kangaroo and fish. The best was the steak. The fish was not very fresh. The kangaroo steak tasted wierd. I guess I just don't appreciate the unique taste. The wine was very good. Not a cheap place.

We ordered three different meals: the filled mushrooms, the vegetarian pasta and the pork ribs. The mushrooms were excellent and so were the pork ribs with sweet potato fries. The pasta had too much garlic and a rather sweet sauce on it which did not fit in. The service was rather average and the dining atmosphere really not as good... More

First visit we found the food to be very good but the service was rather haphazard to say the least. But we decided to try it again a week later with a group of friends and again the food was good but the service was very poor. We had been allocated a table outside in the courtyard with very poor... The meal was ok. As a non meat eater I had the barramundi which was tasty but probably not fresh. But really no complaints, someone at the table had chips which were good. An average meal but fine for the occasion, which was a post trek get together.

This restaurant was outstanding! We had barramundi and a kangaroo and macadamia salad. Some excellent wines at reasonable prices too. We wish we'd dined here a second time instead of trying somewhere new which was recommended but was rubbish!.
