Great food, wine and service

Well placed at the back of the Aurora Hotel and in the Todd Mall, nicely appointed, the waiting staff were very busy but still pleasant and obliging. Menu choice was not over the top and the drinks list was good. Service was excellent, the kitchen was within full view and appeared to be very clean... read more

This restaurant was outstanding! We had barramundi and a kangaroo and macadamia salad. Some excellent wines at reasonable prices too. We wish we'd dined here a second time instead of trying somewhere new which was recommended but was rubbish!.

I had kangaroo with macadamia salad, very nice. They passed the "garlic bread test" and the subsequent meal was delicious. Not cheap but reasonable for the location and time.

The veiw from my table included 2 milk crates, kitchen mop & a messy table of menus & a terrible vase. Service needs some polish. Entree menu very limited. The meals were very nice but watching the chef through the window left a little to be desired. Management needs to film the kitchen staff. The bar top was as dumping... More

Alice Springs does have some interesting places to eat, but thiis one is typical of Central Australian offerings of high priced, ordinary food.

I tried an medium-rare kangoroo steak in this restaurant. The meat is soft and juicy. The berry and orange sause is very suitable for the healthy meat. My waitrass is very kind and love to answer my questions about the meal (she even go to ask the chef in the kitchen!) It's an expensive meal, however I enjoy it very... More

Not a lot of choices for quality in Alice but this is one of the better ones - a well presented restaurant, pleasant décor, interesting local native ingredients. The choices were not my normal preferences but then, when in Alice ........... By comparison though to major cities, the food is over-priced and just ok.

The pork ribs were tender and average in price. The lemon, lime and bitters tasted a bit odd. Breakfast was tasty but not much variety when we had paid extra to have the full buffet. There was much better value a few doors down where you paid at a small cubbyhole and the fast working and friendly staff brought meals... More

We walked along Todd mall ans surprisingly not much was open so we settled on the Red Ochre. The service was slow and not very attentive, the food not a complete disappointment but the Barramundi, both mine and my husbands were dry. The side dishes were overpriced for the size. All and all a tourist trap with average service at... More
