We deliberately arrived early at this restaurant so as to try to beat the rush as we were tired after over a week of travelling. Our main meals arrived promptly, were as we ordered, and the food was tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately, at this point things went downhill. It took over 30 minutes for our finished plates to be... More

Thank you for your review. We can but apologise for the deficiencies experienced later in the evening which have been clearly identified in your communications. Your feed-back allows our Management Team to urgently address the breakdown in 'systems' that have sadly occurred from our 'Engine Room'. Thank you again. More

Came here, greeted by rude staff. Food was not as I asked, awful place. Also over priced. Some of the people that work here should not work in hospitality, I didn't feel welcome. Even if the food was upto scratch, which itwasnt, I wouldn't come here as the experience was just horrible. Not even looking for a apology, I just... More

Our Management Team are both shocked and saddened to read your report of your less-than-satisfactory dining experience here at the Overlanders Steakhouse. We are hoping that you are able to communicate with us in a direct manner via email (sth@overlanders.com.au) in order that we may isolate (and therefore counsel and re-train) the staff member(s) involved. Please include the date, approximate... More

We had a group menu with choice of rump steak, barramundi or Tucker Bag consisting of sausage made out of croc, camel, emu and Roo. The sausages were the hit and the rump was cooked to perfection. Will be going back again!

If you want to have an idea of the local test, it's where you should have a dinner. You have a mixed grill with emu, kangooroo, crocodile. And it's alos very friendly.

Overlanders is a steakhouse in the Alice Springs CBD. We visited with six adults, very warm and inviting atmosphere. Time to order was a little long. Prices are a lot dearer than other restaurants such as Juicy Rump at the Casino. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty, the Mushroom sauce was a good compliment to the steak, the... More

I was told the chef had been cooking here for 19 years. It took him 3 tries before he got my steak right. I suggest he either retires or visits an optomitrist. I was served by many different wait staff & all were friendly & helpful. In the end everything was fixed to my liking but I had no fun... More

This place is great, you need to get the sampler if you want to try everything, camel, kangaroo, ostrich alligator, etc. You get to taste things you might never get to again, and it was cooked well, and tasted great, although I can describe the flovor of camel, but it definetly doesn't taste like chicken...LOL! The prices were good, and... More

Ate here on a recent work trip to Alice Springs, and quite enjoyed the meal for what it was. Refreshing to have real vegetables served at no additional costs, rather than garnish described as salad. The food was great, and a little more expensive (forgiven because of the difficulties of getting produce to Alice Springs). The house wine was excellent,... More
