Over priced

We chose the special at $75a head so expected a lot more than we got. Started with 3 quarters of a ladle of cold tomato soup n damper. Quite nice Taster platter was ridiculous price if bought individually . Tasty but nothing special. Main we had barra n that was beautiful . Served with potatoes... read more

Nice set up. Can eat all the territory animals here (croc, emu, camel, kangaroo) By entrance you get a flag from which country you are on the table.

If you want a real Outback meal experience then this is the place to eat. Huge steaks served with traditional vegies are the main fare. However the atmosphere is what makes the Overlanders unique. The restaurant is decorated like a colonial outback cattle station with exposed wooden beams adorned with leather saddles from years gone by.

Fantastic place for a meal and entertainment. Recognises visitors from all countries with a friendly touch - a flag from their country! Good authentic Australian tucker

This kind of restaurant, increasingly common in the Outback, will eventually help to kill Outback Australian as a destination for tourists who demand reasonable value for money. The food, the service and the ambience are at best pub standard, but the prices are 5-star. The staff who served us were basically incompetent in all respects, clearly working to pay for... More

Looked to take some international friends here when in Alice Springs as they were keen to try Australian game meat. Ended up being a pretty disappointing, expensive and somewhat embarrassing experience. Really poor service - was 'pointed' to our table, order incorrectly taken, fake effort made to correct order. Nothing is worse than initially having a waiter shrug shoulders at... More

We really enjoyed the country atmosphere of this place (from the outside you wouldn't tell) and, real or for tourists, we would defenetly recommend it!! We tasted both regular steaks and Aussie's animals ones (crocodile and kangaroo) and they were both really good. Portions are big and it has been difficult to finish all the food (the tasting menu with... More

Bit of a mixed bag, the tasting platter of roo, crock, buffalo and camel was great but the main meal of bone in rib steak was nothing special, lots of it though. Bit pricy for what you got, wait staff were very friendly and efficient good standard of service.

We gave it a chance even though the reviews were not that positive. The ambiance is inviting and very cosy. That's why we went. We had the tasting platter of different meats, which were cold and very overpriced. As main course we had the lamb shanks, which were also not warm. The sides are not inspiring and we asked to...
