This is one of the best, most reliable restaurants in Glebe. The decor is simple but lovely, very clean with blush-red walls, reddish lighting from the pendant lights and cool conical hats all along the walls. It has a sort of magical feel. There's an indoor water feature. You can BYO wine. We always have the mixed entree (sounds boring... More

Loved the food here. Service was initially patchy but improved over the course of the night. They encourage sharing of dishes and some of it was quite authentic Vietnamese. Would definitely return when back in Sydney.

I live in Glebe and I have eaten at Saigon Saigon many times over the years. I can honestly say I have never has a bad meal in this restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty. I have booked a table for this Saturday night and I am looking forward too the soft shell crab and the spring rolls.

After being super impressed on our first visit we now bring all our friends here for a yummy and relatively cheap dinner. The portion sizes are fantastic, the food is always piping hot and (my partner is vegetarian) there is a fantastic selection on non-meat dishes (as well as a wide variety of meat and seafood dishes. The vietnamese rice... More

Nice decor, extremely kind staff and great service -- the food however just wasn't very good. Not Vietnamese food, but nothing really to call fusion either. Rather greasy/bland and really salty. Not a terrible experience, but with so much else to do on Glebe, I would give this one a miss.

Take my word for it as a SydneySider ... there are plenty of great Vietnamese restaurants to choose from, This however is not one of them. Chicken Skewers that had obviously been deep fried rather than grilled, chewey salt and pepper squid, pork that was greasy and flavourless, and not a Pho option in sight. not good at all. Think... A disappointing food experience, in a street packed with great restaurants! The atmosphere, staff and decor are a saving grace. The lemon and mint soda is the only recommendation! Dont let the red lanterns draw you in, Keep walking to the Bajas cantina!

We visited Saigon Saigon twice whilst staying in the Glebe area of Sydney. Both times we were really impressed with everything. You dont need to order alot of food as the portions are so big, for example 2 main dishes could be shared between 3 people. Also it is BYO(Bring your own) so we did both times. The food is... More
