After reading reviews on this restaurant, I decided to take a punt for Valentines day. The staff responded quickly to my reservation message and very open to questions. I was a bit worried about the rain as our table was outside under umbrellas but it cleared just before we ate. It may be worth keeping your options open or checking... More

We can't imagine to eat a bouillabaisse in Sydney! It is done...it was good, and French taste. The beef and our other choices was great also. We received also good advice from the French waiter, for our stay in Sydney.

A friend and I dined here recently. Nice rear courtyard area, friendly service and good food made for a nice lunch. Recommended.

Perfect dinner at this absolutely charming bistro just off Taylor Square. Highlights were a stunning appetizer of gazpacho with prawns, avocado and mustard ice cream, followed by an authentic bouillabaisse with snapper, fennel and saffron potatoes. Would return in an instant.

Cute little bistro in Surrey Hills. Small menu but excellent food. The duck confit was moist and delicious and the boullabaise everything you would wish for. Cute courtyard. Staff very professional and friendly. The soufflé to die for. Prices reasonable

We have been to Le Pelican many times over the years and will keep coming back. This is one of those places that get all elements right. The food is always good, the staff great and the atmosphere makes you want to stay a bit longer. Make sure you try the pork & duck foie gras pate with a good... More

We have been going to Le Pelican for a few years now and it has always been a pleasure. The team is very nice, and the chef has created very fine gastronomic dishes out of simple but high quality ingredients. The value is very high for the price. Book a table in the backyard, it's very nice.

On an evening before Christmas, it was time to catch up with a friend and take a night out. We started over dinner and around Darlo in Sydney's Inner East, the self-proclaimed home of eating out, we decided to go casual, go French, go bistro style so Le Pelican got the Gallic nod. Without a booking we were lucky to... More

The garden is the perfect setting for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant serves very sophisticated basque influenced food. The staff is exceptionally professional and friendly. Saying that, on a Sunday the restaurant has a lovely relaxed vibe. The food has never missed the mark on any of our visits. The wine list matches the breath of the food offerings and... More
