We ate there last night. Have to say one of the best thai restuarants I have been to in Sydney. The food is amazing! we ordered the Cashew & chicken stir fry with thin noodles that we added and also the hot basil burramundi fillets with rice, food is so flavorsome, the service is 5 star...we waited only five minutes... We really love Thai Pothong; we have been there a lot of times. Not only the food is delicious, also the staff and the atmoshpere are amazing. The restaurant is big and fully decorated, the service is fast and really attentive and at the end of the dinner if you pay cash, they will give you special dollars you can... More

This restaurant seems to be very popular in the area. We went for dinner one evening and it was packed with people (the restaurant is really big) and yet there was about 10 people waiting to be sitted. Luckly enough being only two people it was easier for us to get a table. Not being at all an expert on... More

The place was very busy for a Tuesday night but the service was attentive and friendly..... entrée came out very quickly curry puffs flavour was great but could have been a bit larger. Had coconut rice and green beef curry for main which was one of the... More

We often pick our local eatery Thai Pothong when visitors come to Sydney because it offers great cheap eats in a unique unparalleled artistic environment. Yes it's huge, but the food is great, it arrives quickly there's lots to look at (usually a packed restaurant any night as well as great Thai artefacts everywhere). We also appreciate how they employ... More

Went here yesterday night for dinner with my boyfriend. Service was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The interior decor of this restaurant felt like we were somehow in Thailand. Lots of paintings and lots of elephant statues. We ordered a red curry and a chicken pad see ew. The portions were decently sized but the price... More

Fantastic food! Highly recommend the betel leaf prawn dish. Gorgeous flavour, interesting textures, fun food. The red curry is super yummy. The crying tiger grilled beef is great. The Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups are delightful. Haven't had a bad dish here. If you pay in cash you can earn Pothong dollars to spend in their gift shop. Enjoy!
