Lovely but a little slow

Great food as always but service was slow making my work lunch trip a little rushed once the food did eventually come out. I took my mother and sister out for a fancy lunch and they were impressed.

If you like Japanese food, you are going to love Sushi-e. Tiny restaurant, but the food is absolutely stunning. The sashimi was so fresh and tasty. Great food, with lovely cocktails!

Sushi-e has to be one of my favourite quiet Japanese restaurants in Sydney. Hidden in the corner of Hemmisphere, it definitely oozes class. From great service with professional and knowledgeable wait staff to amazing tasting food, its the place to be for a nice Japanese restaurant. Although they don't serve dessert, the complimentary raspbery panna cotta hit the spot. Well... More

Sitting at the sushi bar of the very happening building I was lucky to be early and the only one seated. Ura-San, the sushi chef aide me in making great selections for today's sashimi, my favourite being the bonito. All fresh, well prepared and presented was very hard to fault.

I would go back if only for a plate of San Chiy Bow and Flamed Wagu Sushi Rolls but I still want to try the other delicacies on the menu too as everything we ordered was divine. Service was attentive and friendly and atmosphere relaxed fine dining without being snobbish. We had a thoroughly enjoyable night with my husband and... More

Sushi e is a really great little sushi bar with absolutely sensational food. The Kingfish carpaccio is next-level delicious. If I worked in the CBD, I would eat here every day. Great for date nights or eating out on your own as the bar looks over the sushi chefs workspace. Wonderful!

Twice now, I have sat in the Hemmesphere Bar located in The Establishment and have ordered from the Sushi-e menu. I cannot fault a dish. They are absolutely perfect. For starters, on both occasions, I have chosen the seaweed salad (the marinade is to die for), mains included the hemmesphere, balmain bug, spider and tempura vegetable rolls. Amazing. I will... On a Friday lunch in Sydney, I and a work colleague found ourselves at the famed Sushi-e at The Establishment on George St. We arrive at 12.30pm and by 1.00pm, the bar tables were packed with convivial Friday lunch diners enjoying the fabulous cuisine made before our eyes. The stunning sashimi, the soft shell spider crabs, the fame seared spicy... More

we have been eating here for over 10 years, not frequently - at best a couple of times a year. The food is always super fresh, and we enjoy the atmosphere. Granted it is on the higher $$$ side ( especially the drinks) but 10 years in and we always have a great night out.
