Great Korean BBQ!

The food was great! There was a queue outside but we were sitting in no time. The staff were friendly and also attentive, even when we didn't press the little button to call staff over. The restaurant itself is quite hidden and I was skeptical about walking down an alleyway trying to find it, but... read more

For tourist, the place is just a little hard to find because it's not exactly on the side of Pitt St. It's located inside an alley. So keep an eye out. I've been here more than couple of times, and i think the best time to visit is 1 hr before dinner time. I go there usually around 5.30 PM... More

This restaurant is well known for its queue outside its restaurant and it is expected that you wait if you do not have a booking. This is understandable. We were given a ticket with a number on it and asked roughly how long we would wait? The response was. "I don't know" . Hoping that it shouldn't take long we... More

My eldest son is crazy about just anything Korean and Madang got his seal of approval. We ordered the starch noodles, seafood pancake, soup with rice cake with kimchi broth, fried soft shell crab and sweet and sour chicken. Phew!! The only regret was our tummies were not big enough to fit more different dishes! Food was great, family friendly... More

Dinner for 3 on Friday at 6:30pm, 30min wait. We ordered the seafood pancake and kimchi hotpot amongst a few other nibblies. Their seafood pancake is amongst the best in Sydney (CBD, at least). Food comes out relatively quick but it is always a feat trying to get the attention of a waiter for some reason, even with the call... More

I've been here a couple of times - once for the bbq and once for the normal menu. I would recommend the bbq. The normal menu is ok. The place is always busy so be prepared to wait if you're going during peak times. The place is noisy in a nice kind of way and very lively.

Excellent Korean BBQ and great service! One of our favorite dishes was the spicy seafood or chicken rice cake!

Have tried a few KBBQ places in Sydney, and hands-down Sydney Madang is the best. The quality of the meats & the seasoning they use is top-notch. While the BBQ itself does use gas, they also add charcoal bits to add that extra flavour that makes the meat particularly juicy & flavoursome. My favourite is tied between the bulgogi beef... More

Best Korean food for their Soups and must try their Seafood Pancake! My personal fave are Kim Chi Jigae, seafood pancake, spicy chicken and dumpling

Wonderful service, great atmosphere, delicious food. So I am no longer a novice to Korean food and this was the best bbq so far. I imagine this is the closest i will get to experiencing authentic korean food outside of korea. Go for the stake! The marinated pork ribs are also good. The staff is attentive and polite. Prices are... More
