Not quite a casual midday meal

A little ott for a casual weekday meal (but seemingly not for the rest of the patrons) in a chic restaurant serving good food with excellent service. I would say it's a little overpriced and some of the flavour combinations were a miss (trying too hard?) but overall a lovely place to dine and spend... read more

I bought a voucher for 2 courses and a wine ..brilliant value .We had a fantastic dinner the food was beautiful, and every dish was described to us by the wait staff.the staff were great , very pleasant friendly and unobtrusive .. Overlooking the magnificent QVB , and each table had sufficient space so it made for a lovely long leisurely... More

Okay food (when it decides to arrive on your table after repeated apologies)... Obviously the kitchen is understaffed for such a large restaurant. Well located (and charge because of it) therefore great for that business lunch... But on a week day no one has hours for a lunch - that is for Fridays... They need to lift their game big... More

This was a special anniversary and we had $200 to spend on a fabulous night out. We rocked up to reception (which was not really obvious) and then waited for 5 minutes while the girl on the desk talked into her phone and studiously ignored us. Score 0/10 We were finally shown to our seat and discovered it was semi-communal... More

Firstly i will start of by saying we visited the wine bar at the brasserie early on during the week we had a selection of the tapas menu and the food was average. However the extensive wine list and cocktails certainly made up for that. Tonight my friend and i are staying at the hilton so we thought we would... More

I have eaten at Glass quite a few times now and as a plain eater I am always able to find some beautiful dishes to enjoy. The ambiance is lovely, table near the windows are the best.

Recently went here for the buffet breakfast with a group of 4 whilst staying at the Hilton. The atmosphere is nice and bright, but the buck stops there. First of all, unlike some other 5 star hotel buffets in Sydney, barista-made coffee is not included (only black coffee), but comes at a hefty $5 extra a pop. Both the food... More

What a fantastic Ladies Lunch experience . The zucchini flowers were a taste sensation and the mains chosen were all excellent especially the Mt. Cook salmon. Service was exceptional and we agreed that another lunch will be booked. Thanks for a delightful dining experience.

First and foremost the device of the waiting staff was excellent, couldn't have asked for more. Portion sizes were very good and quality of wine excellent. Kitchen not so good - the chef stood there shouting instructions in a very loud voice to let everyone know he was the important person and then he proceeded to touch many of the... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
