A better than average Yum Cha, with some hot food, that never is really quite that hot and sometimes a bit greasey, great for lunch, very eastern suburbs, over priced, never really sure that the bill is correct. But all in all, the best Yum Cha in the area.

I have been here a few times in the past but I've never tried the yum cha here. I was here again at the end of January, 2014 for the Chinese New Year Dinner. We ordered a few dishes with vegetables, seafood including fish and chicken being the main themes. I also tried the chicken sweet corn soup. I'd describe... More

Convenient location inside Westfield, large and spacious restaurant. Some of the dishes are really special. The service is average at best. Some of the food is not great.

Kam Fook has really gone down hill. Food was greasy and clearly just defrosted and cooked. Service was grudging at best. We had to tidy our own plates away. Really not good.

From our arrival to the finish of the meal it was a terrible experience, nobody appeared to know what they were doing, 3 tables of Asians (bus) loads arrived shortly after we did and that seemed to cause much confusion amongst the staff. The service was shocking the food tasteless, the wine list average. We, along with other patrons waited... More

After a shocking previous visit to Kam Fook, i dared to venture back, albeit for yum cha. It was much better i didn't get ill! Whilst it's on the expensive side, it was pretty good, service better than expected, apart from an inordinate amount of time to pay.

Poor food, poor service, i got sick after eating here and very, very expensive. Shows how desperate the Eastern suburbs of Sydney are for decent Chinese.

If you're one for the delicious steamed dumplings that are typical of yum cha, and you happen to live in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (and don't want to travel into China Town), then Kam Fook is an ideal place to visit with family or friends. The dumplings were full of flavour and the service relatively good (I compare all service in... More

I've been here a few times now, for yum-cha and a normal a la carte meal. I wouldn't rave about either experience. Service lacks, feel like you sometimes disturb them by asking for something and there are around 50 employees working at any given time! Prices are high for Sydney comparison ($35-45 pp for a yum-cha). We went yesterday with... More

The steamed dumplings (varied from pork, prawn, scallop, spinach) were just so yum! There were plenty of wait staff who were not too keen on being attentive to our needs (we had to beckon them to our table a few times throughout our brief yum cha) and who carelessly slopped the tea into our cups. There was a good constant... More
