German style in Sydney. Breakfasts with lots of choice. Nice little square near Kings Cross. We tried the muesli yoghurt and the pancakes, both were good. Not cheap though, but nothing is cheap in this part of town!

This restaurant has the strangest service. The young waiter seemed reluctant to take my order for my meal - seemed happy to get me a drink but not take my meal order. When he did, the meal arrived in a most efficient manner. On finishing my main there was no offer of dessert. I just sat and worked with my... More

Who wants to try to talk to friends above the racket of a loud radio station, or any radio station for that matter. Soft background music is all you need in the mornings, radio is tacky.

Maggie's has been here for such a long time, and while cannot be considered Fine Dining, it is great for a casual meal. Specializing in schnitzels, there is a huge range. Seating both indoors and outdoors mean that there is never a long wait for a table. However, you must bring an appetite, the servings are huge. I normally request... More

After moving back to Australia after 4 years overseas, we were really looking forward to a dinner at Maggie's again after such a long time. It was, overall, extremely disappointing. Whilst the staff are friendly - the food is now pretty ordinary. It's also become more obvious that everything is prepared in advance and sitting somewhere in the kitchen. Yes,... More

Dear Jacques, I'm sorry to hear that your visit to Maggie's was not all that you'd hoped. I'd just like to assure you that we have four kitchen staff who work hard to serve orders promptly. Our kitchen is a well oiled machine, as it always has been. Maggie's has always been known for its fast and efficient European service... More

Holy schnitzel- no frills kind of place- but the service was pleasant and helpful- but the food- oh my goodness all three of us had different schnitzels- huge portions plus a wonderful potatoe Rossi ( like hash browns) had fried cheese to start too- I am adding this place to my tour when friends visit! Reasonably priced too!!! A must... More

Our family ate at Maggie's recently and I must say all of the meals were absolutely amazing plus really well priced for Sydney. The staff were excellent and the food sizes were huge. My 13 year old did a great job getting through the massive schnitzel which was hanging over his plate. The desserts are to die for. All in... More

I ate here during my holiday earlier this year & i stumbled across this restaurant whilst out for a daily walk. Its tucked away at the back of a precinct & if it were not for the lovely waterfall fountain display then i would have missed it. The staff were friendly & attentive & the food was lovely. I had...
