Food, service and view - what more do you want for dinner!

The food was excellent - 6 oysters each followed by grilled swordfish and barramundi with glasses of pinot grigio. Tom looked after us extremely well. The view is great as the light fades. Suggest booking if you want a veranda table.

Love this restaurant - it has excellent views of the harbour bridge, great staff, and the food is amazing. I recommend that you book ahead and if possible book a spot on the balcony as it's quieter and you then have uninterrupted views. I've eaten here a few times am must recommend the the pork belly as it was such... More

Right on top of circular quay is one of the best places of Sydney to have a great meal while enjoying beautiful views of the harbour bridge, Luna Park and the Opera.

Have eaten here several times but service was very average especially when it came to dietary requirements the waiter really did not want to know and made out it was all to hard. Food was good but was always outstanding on our our previous visits. Not on our favorite list to eat at or recommend

This is the total experience you want in Sydney. There maybe other restaurants that offer either better food, more relaxed wait staff or better value .. but Café Sydney is just the total package. If you're a first timer to Sydney, book weeks ahead for the balcony views over Circular Quay with the Bridge and Opera House in the background.... More

Six of us had a table outside on the harbourside of the balcony with stunning views. The food was delicious with an interesting menu selection and beautifully presented. A delightful evening apart from a waiter who 'managed' us as though he were doing us a favour. I agree with 'abloorable' review - 'get over yourself', it is just a restaurant.

I cannot say anything bad at all about my recent visit here for a family celebration. We went after a helicopter ride over the city, so it was an early dinner which suited our young granddaughter. She isn't a great eater but ate most of her food which shows it was good. The rest of us had a fixed menu... More

When I think of a hot sunny Sydney day... Smelling salt in the air I always think of Cafe Sydney ... The food never disappoints ... Wait staff can be snooty ( it's just a cafe love get over yourself) but over all it's a great lunch destination that often turns to dinner!!!

We were recommended this restaurant by a local who recommended the view and also the food. We went to see about booking a table and were told be the lady restaurant manager that booking is recommended at busy times. She was nice. We took a menu and said we would be back. We then decided that we would try and... More
