You are going to have to queue . We did not , opted for a place for two at the bar counter as you enter. Service was good. The tiny waitress was on to it. Had the Thai fish cakes which were excellent and the whole snapper with fried lemon grass and ginger. Two glasses of Cab Sav and we... More

We were staying at Meriton Campbell Serviced Apartment during my Sydney trip and it was just above Chat Thai, really convenient! That area is also known as Thai Town. When we get sick of fish & chips and western food, delicious and authentic Thai cuisine at Chat Thai always come to our minds. The only drawback is the long waiting... More

No doubt, the best Thai restaurant in Sydney and the prices are extremely reasonable. It is always crowded because the food is delicious! :)

I really love this restaurant, I live very close and i go there twice a week basically. The food is really tasty, you should definitely try the crispy pork belly in red curry paste and the pork skewers. They are extremely fast and the price is completely affordable, you can have a good dinner for 20$pp and go home completely... More

My partner and I enjoyed authentic Thai cuisine in Sydney. Thai Chat located in China town. As we stayed close Hotel to this Chat Thai we noticed a long queue nightly which is always a good sign. After 30 mins waiting, we were able to get in and ordered Papaya Salad, Fried Rice, Tom Yam Kun, and Thai Ice tea.... More

The reviews are spot on and this place is worthy of it's top reviews. As we stayed close to this Chat Thai (Campbell St) we noticed a line up nightly which is always a good sign and tonight it was our turn. We walked straight in as we were early at 5:30 but as we left there was a busy... More

Authentic Thai cuisine which also serves yummy desserts. Always packed full & with a constant queue outside their door so best to make prior reservations or eat at off hours. Resto is just across from the Capitol Theater so it would make a nice stop after catching a show there ( Lion King currently showing ).

Located right opp the Capitol Theatre and on the edge of Chinatown, the reviews on TA served us well. We arrived 6pm on a Tues and wrote up our reservation on the board (tel bookings only taken for post 8pm sittings). The queue moved quickly and we only waited 10 mins. We were seated upstairs which was great, cosy and... More

I came to Chat Thai for a dinner with other 4 friends. I waited for 1 hour to get a table, because the restaurant was so crowded. I ordered pad thai, crying tiger (char grilled beef tenderloin with smoked chill & tamarin relish), green curry chicken, stir fried pork belly in red curry paste + steamed rice. Delicious & tasty...
