Good Indian food

Well, if you are a vegetarian and looking for varity.. This is good place ( for non-veg this is delight to taste some Indian kebabs outside India). The only drawback is the portion size... The quality is very less.

Dined here on Saturday, got a table on their balcony. It was a good experience. The service was a swift and attentive. The menu was extensive, took us quite a while to choose what to eat. We ordered the Salmon for starters which tasted great. The Biryani for the main with Murgh Makhani was quite tasty as well. This has... More

Authentic Indian food, at the Darling harbour. Wao. Makes you feel like home away from home. The food was very good. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. If you like Indian Food, this is the right place for you. Do visit and enjoy the taste of India.

Booked the Living Social Deal once again and proved to be money well spent. The meals you get are all delicious and flavourful. The many appetizers are absolutely mouth watering and the curries are full of flavour. The service was outstanding with all wait staff making us feel welcome. Upon receiving dessert, we commented to a waiter that our favourite... More

I had dinner with colleagues here. I was impressed by the prime location overlooking Darling Harbour. But that's where it ends. The interior was overcrowded and hot and it took ages for them to serve us food. Both food (Naan roti, saffron rice, butter chicken, lamb and beef) was ok but the service was ordinary and I cannot recommend it.

Myself and two friends had the banquet, and found the portions to be very small and the food quite bland. Service was average, well below what you would expect for an expensive restaurant in Darling Harbour. They never offered to get us more rice (or anything, really). Not the worst restaurant I have ever been to but nothing special either.... More

Lovely view of darling harbour if seated out on the deck. The food was rushed and no time in between courses. I had chicken and it was chewy. Apart from the popaddoms to start with we found the food tasteless and quality poor. The waiting staff were not very friendly and we found it expensive for what it was. Needless... More

My husband and I being of Indian origin have tried a lot of Indian restaurants in Sydney but failed to eat in Zaaffran until now. We decided to have the chef's banquet. There was lots of food and the first few courses were delicious.. We also ordered the tandoori lobster. The lobster was over cooked and chewy.. So be mindful... More

I was on my own and hoping for a good and tasty meal. The service was confused and one dish forgotten, another incorrect dish delivered, also it was slow despite there being plenty of empty tables. The Peshawari Seekh kebab was a large portion (3 sticks) and good but not outstanding, the naan excellent, but the Sorak very disappointing -... More
