Great Seafood, Great Views

We dined at The Boathouse on a Friday night and we were both delighted with the food and the service. There was also a lovely view of the city across Blackwattle Bay to enjoy with dinner. Easy valet parking, great table service, wonderful views and the freshest oysters to die for. You must try the snapper pie! I could not fault this restaurant. Fine dining but for a special occasion you cant go wrong.

If you want to try the largest range of fresh Oysters in Sydney, this is the place. They shuck them to order as opposed to "freshly shucked" which too often means that they were shucked when they were fresh 3 days ago and have been sitting in the cool room coved in glad wrap for the past few days. We... More

We were there for a special anniversary lunch. Top food, top service, and a nice touch was a piped chocolate message on the dessert plate. The only letdown: their signature dish is snapper pie. The plate used to contain the pie, mash and a smoked tomato. Cost is $48.00 and we have had it on many an occasion. For some... More

picturesque setting overlooking the water. Group of 4 so 4 different entrees which were all beautiful albeit very small for the price. At $27 an entree I deserve more than 3 scallops! Main courses with sides were more substantial and with endless bread (lovely bread) we didnt leave hungry. At $500 for 4 (2 bottles of wine) was not cheap... More

Our Sunday lunch at The Boathouse was superb. Our waiter was attentive, informative & extremely patient. All meals were absolutely delicious with perfectly recommended wines to suit. Located on the Harbour with beautiful ambience this restaurant delighted us all.

Went with a largish family group to celebrate a birthday - and found it REALLY doesn't warrant its high price tag. Unless you're happy to pay for the beautiful setting/outlook - and the food is secondary to you. 3 of us (including me) went for their signature dish which is Snapper Pie. Now at $48 it is a very expensive... More

On a gorgeous Sydney day, what a perfect way to enjoy a Saturday lunch with relaxing views of the working harbour and spectacular refined dishes which showcase seafood at its finest! The only real problem we encountered was the difficulty in choosing which menu items to have... I opted to share the salt and pepper spanner crab for an entree... More

Leave some extra time to find a street park near this popular restaurant. Better still, take the light rail to Glebe and then the restaurant is a 10 minute walk, or take a water taxi and arrive in style. There is valet parking on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant has a lovely, open, wood and glass feel and there... More

Really enjoyed the food and service here and the location is excellent. Possibly a bit over rated as there are many better restaurants not rated as highly but its still an excellent restaurant if that makes sense.
