High quality boring

Great location, ambiance is nice, friendly and attentive staff very willing to help out with the menu. The shellfish and fish from the menu were very fresh and of a good quality but most of the 'mains' dishes lack creativity. Although the fish itself is very good fish, that's all there is to it... read more

You can bring anyone to this restaurant as the food is really good without being overly gourmet scary (as long as they like seafood). Quite a few family groups were there for Sunday lunch obviously enjoying themselves, although it's probably a bit pricey if you have littlies. Hubby and I shared a dozen oysters of mixed origin (and discovered that... More

We essentially had two distinct experiences during a dinner visit to this lovely spot. During the first, we were promptly seated, drinks arrived as and when ordered and a dozen marvelous oysters were enjoyed. During the second, when the restaurant filled up, our waitress went missing and had to be corralled to order a second bottle of wine and to... More

Amazing Seafood with a View in a very exclusive restaurant hidden in Glebe ... this is our second visit and the staff and food once again were divine We didn't have a lunch booking however, they managed to accommodate us which was a bonus however, would recommend a reservation for lunch or dinner We had the organic oysters which were... I booked a table at the Boathouse after googling restaurants in the Sydney area looking for a restaurant that would be nice for a family get together to relax over lunch on the day. We were looking for a restaurant that had atmosphere, hopefully water views, not with a feeling of being closed inside a large room and of course... More

Was taken here by a local and it was so good. We had oysters to start from 3 different regions (they had close to 10 kinds on the menu) and then I had the snapper pie. It was delicious. I was fight my husband off of it...I thought it sounded odd and almost didn't ordered it by the locals told... More

We went to the Boathouse with friends on a Saturday evening in summer. The restaurant outlook is the big drawcard, with large glass frontage overlooking the water. The food was fabulous, I couldn’t fault it. We started with a selection of six different types of oysters and Aperol Spritz. Most of the mains are seafood, with a good variety of... More

A wonderful location with views across the bay to the Anzac bridge. In the darkness we even witnessed 3 Sydney row boats gliding at speed past the restaurant and with the backdrop of the city lit up it's a memorable view. We were lucky enough to have a table right by the main window and with the place full it... More

I've been coming to the Boathouse on and off for the last decade and my last visit was 2 days ago. The standards are still high, service is still excellent, wait staff are fantastic and the food is fresh, well made, seasonal and presented beautifully. Flavours are subtle and complex. To me, this is a secret restaurant "off the beaten... More
