Visited Sydney over Easter and friend recommended this restaurant. It is so authentic that you actually can taste Thai in the food. Unlike a lot of Thai restaurant stating serving Thai food but cooked by non Thai chef. You can actually see the kitchen and they are actual Thai chef cooking it. Apart from the real Thai chef, the food... More

We tried Chat Thai because of its high rating here. However, it's extremely disappointing. The fried shrimp and squid with oyster sauce is too salty the shrimp is not fresh at all. The pickled crab salad and the dressing is horrible. The pad thai only got chicken and some vegetables (many major ingredients missing) which is not authentic at all.... More

A risk in publicly rating a restaurant highly is that more people will attend making it harder to get in - and its already hard enough. This is a really great Thai Restaurant in the Westfield complex. Great atmosphere and very good food at a most reasonable price. Invariably, a 20 minute wait but that passes quickly while watching diners... More

We had been told by friends to be sure & eat at the Chat Thai restaurant a few doors down Campbell street from the Meriton apartments, it was an amazing place, so very busy, you had to write your name on a numbered ticket and wait in the street until your no was called, there was always people waiting to... Food is always top notch here-- evidence is the queues and the Thai people that like to eat here Pricey for the tiny meal that you get-- the portion sizes have definitely decreased over the last few years though

Stumbled across this place after some Friday late night shopping. Had visited their other restaurant in Campbell Street in the past so expected it to be good and it was. Had to queue for a while and it was a little crammed but the food was fantastic and the rice and water just kept appearing. Better service than Campbell Street... More

2009. Tips: to be here, you not to be patients cause of this small place is too small to accommodate the visitors. Par Tuhng Go (Cak Kwe) is the most famous food here, i bet the taste is good for australians, but for me, there is a better cak kwe in Indonesia.

This restaurant isn't really in Chinatown. It's adjacent to the Galleries Victoria near the Queen Victoria Building. Believe it or not, it's in a food court in an underground passageway where people change trains. I had the duck soup and it was incredible! Mostly duck and noodles and the broth was incredibly rich and full of flavor. One of the... More
