We are obsessed with Thai food so have eaten at many Thai restaurants throughout sydney and Thailand. Chat Thai is very authentic Thai that you don't really get outside Thailand. Many dishes that many western Thai restaurants don't usually have. You won't be disappointed.

Although when we first walked passed at 12.30, there was no one waiting, the place was packed. Another quick lap of the restaurants available and we'd made our choice - whoops - now a queue had formed & a ticket was required. No problem, a short wait and we were ushered to our table. The menu was extensive & the... More

Chat Thai is a growing business in Sydney with outlets throughout the city. They are all great and very popular. A bit noisy inside and seating is at times shoulder to shoulder but you will get really good thai food here.

Never again! We were very excited about trying this highly recommended restaurant. 60min in the freezing cold which we were prepared for. Unfortunately the service we received inside after the long wait was terrible! It was astonishing really! We located by the exit which was drafty and waiters found impossible to close after themselves. Personally I found the place totally... More

Me and the missus found this little piece of Thailand in the basement food court in the CBD in Sydney. Loved it, all freshly cooked to order in the open view kitchen (nothing pre-cooked and sitting on hot plates). All the staff where thai and service was fast and the price was fairly reasonable (AUS$9-15/main).

Comfortable atmosphere, delicious foods and reasonable price. If my friends overseas come to Sydney for travelling, this restaurant would be the first one to take them.

Situated in the newly renovated food court in the Townhall/QVB precinct. Very dark & moody but quirky Reno- I like it. Lots of Asian to choose from here, we chose this venue as everything was made to order and fresh. The vegetarian options aren't listed, they need to add Tofu to their menu board, but you can order a bunch... More

Hi there, congratulations to the kitchen crew. I was there with my boyfriend by chance, and sincerely even 'cause it was the only opened reasonable restaurant at 8.00 pm...awesome! Real thai taste, with their spices and flavour, not bad imitations! Noodles with prawns were really exiciting, beef was so soft and well done, maybe only the fried prawns of the... More

My friend and I chose to visit Chat Thai in central Sydney based on the good reviews in guide books and trip advisor. We arrived at 8.30 but had already checked the website and seen that it opens until 2am. The waitress who seated us informed us that they would be closing the kitchen at 9 so we would need... More
