Went to Chat Thai last Sunday for a friend's birthday. Four of us arrived around 11:30 in the morning and had no issues with finding parking and a table. Service was fast and friendly, food was absolutely delicious. Great ambience with the glass partition near the kitchen area. The portion was relatively small, otherwise fun experience. Would recommend making a reservation... More

Odered satay chicken skewers, fish cakes, papaya salad for starter, red curry duck, pad Thai for main then follow by mango sticky rice for dessert. All dishes are tasty. must try blended juice. Highly recommended. Queues are usually long during lunch and dinner. Suggest to get there by 6pm for dinner to avoid the long wait.

Wonderful food fast but great care in serving, preparation and organizing. Beautiful clean, restaurant and helpful staff, many food managers and cooks preparing delicious food from simple rice dishes to scrumptious roasted ginger duck, to sweets to take away, Yes it is crowded, but everyone gets served, waiting time is not long, takeaway customers seem as happy and calm waiting... Visited Sydney over Easter and friend recommended this restaurant. It is so authentic that you actually can taste Thai in the food. Unlike a lot of Thai restaurant stating serving Thai food but cooked by non Thai chef. You can actually see the kitchen and they are actual Thai chef cooking it. Apart from the real Thai chef, the food... More

We tried Chat Thai because of its high rating here. However, it's extremely disappointing. The fried shrimp and squid with oyster sauce is too salty the shrimp is not fresh at all. The pickled crab salad and the dressing is horrible. The pad thai only got chicken and some vegetables (many major ingredients missing) which is not authentic at all.... More

A risk in publicly rating a restaurant highly is that more people will attend making it harder to get in - and its already hard enough. This is a really great Thai Restaurant in the Westfield complex. Great atmosphere and very good food at a most reasonable price. Invariably, a 20 minute wait but that passes quickly while watching diners... More

We had been told by friends to be sure & eat at the Chat Thai restaurant a few doors down Campbell street from the Meriton apartments, it was an amazing place, so very busy, you had to write your name on a numbered ticket and wait in the street until your no was called, there was always people waiting to... Food is always top notch here-- evidence is the queues and the Thai people that like to eat here Pricey for the tiny meal that you get-- the portion sizes have definitely decreased over the last few years though

Stumbled across this place after some Friday late night shopping. Had visited their other restaurant in Campbell Street in the past so expected it to be good and it was. Had to queue for a while and it was a little crammed but the food was fantastic and the rice and water just kept appearing. Better service than Campbell Street... More
