Excellent tea selection, service was not as friendly

Excellent tea selection and high tea pastry selection. Service was less than friendly. QVB is a must visit.

Whilst the food was nice, and the tea room itself beautiful, the service at this establishment was nothing short of disappointing. The staff were snobby, unaccommodating and unprofessional.

The positives: The food was very nice - great sandwiches, good selection of teas, scones were lovely. The negatives: The service was rude, impolite and certainly not accommodating in any way. Having been to many traditional tea services at hotels in London I have never encountered this type of attitude usually an afternoon tea is such a lovely, enjoyable experience!... More

Authentic English high tea. The room is elegant. The china are beautilly set. The food are far above average, especailly the scones. For my stomach, the afternoon tea is of the same quantity as my lunch.

This is a lovely dining spot that's been around for almost 20 years, but has a traditional feel. It's in the old Queen Victoria Building. I attended for a private cocktail party, but I understand it's great for high tea. The food is tasty, but the environment is the reason to come.

I have been to the Tea Room (QBV) many times and I am never disappointed. The sandwiches are always fresh, the scones light and fluffy and the cakes are a perfect size. The choices of tea and coffee is varied and plentiful. The staff are professional and friendly.

A girls afternoon to celebrate a milestone birthday. Greeted by staff & shown to our table for 6 by the charming Louise who was ever attentive whilst we were there. It was not a problem when a friend who called unexpectedly was also able to join our table as there was plenty of room. We chose the champagne High Tea... More

We noticed when entering the QVB building that there was a free organ recital in the town hall opposite clashing time-wise with our lunch reservation. We went and asked the Tea Room staff could we delay our lunch and they assured that there was no problem whatsoever despite the fact that our lunch was now going to be quite late... More
