Such a beautiful setting!

Four of us enjoyed a delicious and beautifully presented High Tea at the QVB Tea Room. Tasty savoury snacks, classic cut sandwiches and very delicious desserts, all served on a cake stand on Royal Albert bone china, plus of course a huge selection of teas. I've used this venue for business meetings over coffee because it's quiet and unhurried; great for problem solving. I've also taken my wife to high tea and also lunch and she was very impressed. It is a true experience with lofty ceilings , elegant furnishings and a fineness of foods and beverages. Highly recommend for a break on any trip... More

So I booked for 12 of my friends to join me in celebrating my birthday at the tea room. The booking was easy and the staff were helpful via email. The man at the front door was rude to my guests when they enquired about the reservation. My guest had said they were here for a bday party.. The man rudely... More

Such a delightful place for afternoon tea. The surroundings are gorgeous, service was terrific. They don't skimp on the food, came around with extras. Kept filling our tea pots which is much appreciated. The location is very convenient as well for meeting people from all over the city. Very easy to get to with public transport.

Ended up having afternoon tea here through a coincidence but the experience was so enjoyable that we have already planned a second visit. The food, especially the scones, was delicious with a good selection of teas available. The service was impeccable and it was a treat to have tea served with a proper china teapot, cup and saucer. Although the... More

For $45 we each got a plate full of food with finger sandwiches, cakes and scones and great tea and coffee. It was well worth it, and a great place for a girls day out. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I would recommend having high tea here, and I will be sure to return!!

Generous servings of savoury and sweet food, all really tasty, and a great range of teas. We had the cherry tea which was delicious. However, as others have said, it was a small pot (just one and a half cups). Great atmosphere and good if slow service. Expensive at $45 but still Definitely the place for a cuppa during the... Many years ago we went to the QVB Tearoom with visitors for a late morning tea and were urged to try lunch instead. That waiter started a tradition in our family as we have been going there now for lunch for over a decade. The food and service are superb with the food nearly always as good as the best... More

I had the smallest pot of tea I've ever had at a high tea,and when I asked for a second pot of tea they gave me hot water only,so my 2nd pot was a very watery Lapsang. It was difficult to get the waitstaff's attention for service, but when I eventually did they were quite pleasant. The food itself was good.Lovely grand ballroom...
