Unlike the majority we ordered from the menu rather than from the high tea options. The food was delicious, light and satisfying. A reasonably priced glass of wine topped off the meal. I would love to have tried a high tea but as a diabetic this option in terms of the carbohydrate load wasn't an option so I was very... More

We had a business lunch there from my work. Could see lots of people around sampling delicacies of the "high tea". It all looked utterly delicious. For us thought, it was lunch. Wonderfully prepared table was the first welcoming element of the lovely afternoon. We had two people looking seamlesly after our needs. We had some fish, some steak and... More

We visited The Tea Room QVB today. We've wanted to try it out for awhile. This week it was my birthday so we used this opportunity to celebrate.we were also taken in by the thought of Clotted cream. My boyfriend is British and has wanted clotted cream for a long time. It was the closest he's had to the UK.... More

The range of teas on offer was incredible. My favourite was the lemon tea with milk and sugar. The little pastries were yummy and there was a good variety of them on offer. It was pricey but when you eat at the QVB, it's going to be pricey anyway.

Had tea and small selection of petit fours as a birthday spot this week. Excellent attentive service the moment we sat down. Tea was lovely in the china settings. The petit fours were so yummy.we shared them , having half each of one, which was just enough. Beautifully presented in an amazing setting in the QVB building. Cost less than... More

We arrived without a booking and were quickly attended to. I had no idea what to expect and didn't realise that high tea was the only option. The room itself is stunning and the atmosphere is relaxing. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The food was lovely. The bread for the sandwiches was very fresh and the fillings were tasty. There... More

We were given a gift certificate and were looking forward to our afternoon high tea. Although we had never indulged in such a special culinary event, we had recently found late afternoon sustenance at the Sheraton on the Park and watched others partaking of that establishment's high tea buffet. It was impressive, and featured a number of optional extras, including... More

After hearing so many good things about the Tea Room, I brought a visitor here for afternoon tea. The chandeliers are beautiful, but the food is nothing to write home about. Very salty sandwiches, average sweets (more like what you get at an RSL buffet). At $50 per head, it's pricey just for the atmosphere.

A friend told me about a 'Nice restaurant' on the top floor of the QVB. It was an understatement! We turn up without a booking and it was well worth waiting 10 minutes for a vacant table. The decor reflected the grandeur of the Victorian era - classy and elegant. We opted for the 2 course lunch and was not... More

Without doubt, the most amazing high tea I've ever had. Food was sensational, tea was delicate, staff were faultless. Absolutely wonderful.
