Tasty Arvo tea

Generous servings of savoury and sweet food, all really tasty, and a great range of teas. We had the cherry tea which was delicious. However, as others have said, it was a small pot (just one and a half cups). Great atmosphere and good if slow service. Expensive at $45 but still Definitely the... read more

Many years ago we went to the QVB Tearoom with visitors for a late morning tea and were urged to try lunch instead. That waiter started a tradition in our family as we have been going there now for lunch for over a decade. The food and service are superb with the food nearly always as good as the best... More

I had the smallest pot of tea I've ever had at a high tea,and when I asked for a second pot of tea they gave me hot water only,so my 2nd pot was a very watery Lapsang. It was difficult to get the waitstaff's attention for service, but when I eventually did they were quite pleasant. The food itself was good.Lovely grand ballroom... After the madness of the Malls and shopping it was lovely to enter the refined peace of this establishment. A huge room with massive chandeliers. White linen clothes and napkins. Sadly my disappointment was that i was only able to enjoy the calmness for 40minutes as they closed early for a corporate event, As a result i didn't savour the... More

This place provides the worst reception ever. We were here asking for table of two and the receptionist asked us to wait. After waited for half an hour, I asked the reception how much longer before I can get a table in which the reception replied he wasn't sure and I could choose to leave if I got tired of... More

Have visited here several time now, as a double and with a small group of friends. It is a calm oasis on the first floor of the QVB with excellent service and wonderful teas. So nice to be served with proper china cups, saucers and teapots and to be given a choice of teas rather than the teabags on offer... More

I visited the Tea Room with two friends and enjoyed their Traditional Afternoon Tea at $45 per person. The space itself is beautifully decorated and the staff were all friendly and professional. The food was lovely, especially the scones, and nicely presented and they offer a good selection of teas.

Being from England, I have had my fair share of Afternoon Teas and I would say the one I had at The Tea Room was absolutely lovely and very tasty. I personally rate my Afternoon Tea experience with the restaurant's ability to manage my nut allergy and whether the sandwiches were soggy. The Tea Room were more than accommodating with... More

High Tea at the rooms in the afternoon is an excellent idea. I brought my parents here and they loved it. It's a nostalgic spot, the food is done extremely well and the service is good. It is expensive, but you don't come here every week. Great for a special treat, and make sure you have time to relax and... More

The overall experience was great. The food was delicious, the service was good too! The decor was beautiful and made the atmosphere feel elegant. An excuse to dress up!
